The Barnsley Street Project is a pilot service funded by NHS money following a bid by East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT). The service comprises of Look Ahead staff, ELFT staff, and Tower Hamlets Mental Health VCSE Alliance, formed of 17 local VCSE organisations. The Barnsley Street Project operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide support for people in the catchment area of one primary care network in Bethnal Green, Tower Hamlets. It provides a variety of psychosocial and clinical interventions, including the provision of 6 Hospitality Beds for short term support and intervention.

Support Workers within the Barnsley Street Project will be expected to support individuals requiring support from the local community that walk in to the service and those staying in our hospitality beds. This support may include providing tailored and co-produced practical, emotional, trauma-informed support to individuals with a variety of challenges relating to their mental health. This may include the management of symptoms, social support, navigating benefits and welfare systems, practical skills and signposting to specialist services in the local authority for intensive or specific support as required.

Role Purpose

As Head of Creative & Content, you will shape and champion the creative vision of Child Bereavement UK. You’ll lead the development of a bold, purposeful content and creative strategy that brings our mission to life, ensuring every story, campaign and asset is high-quality, evidence-based, accessible and emotionally resonant across all channels.

You’ll set the creative direction and ensure everything we produce is consistently compelling, inclusive and impactful, delivering outstanding user experiences that truly connect with our audiences.

This role leads the full content lifecycle, from strategic planning and innovative production to governance and evaluation. You’ll drive creativity that supports income generation, strengthens service delivery and grows brand awareness, making sure our content doesn’t just inform, but inspires action and change.

Main Responsibilities

1. Leadership, Team Management & Administration

• Work alongside the Director of Marketing & Communications to lead the Marketing & Communications team, ensuring there is a clear direction of travel, an understanding of purpose and exemplary culture embedded to drive future success.
• Provide clear leadership and direct line management to the Brand Lead and Content Creator.
• Build a high-performing content function with strong planning, evaluation and cross-functional collaboration.
• Support and mentor a network of volunteer content creators.
• Champion innovation, best practice and a user-centred approach to content.
• Proactively formulate appropriate, strategic and creative responses and pitch new ideas for campaigns and activities.

• Develop a sensitive and safe lived-experience content strategy, ensuring safeguarding standards are met and contributors are appropriately supported in partnership with service teams.

3. Content Creation, Management & Delivery

• Lead delivery of high-quality cross-channel content, including copy, editorial, design and audio-visual assets.
• Develop and provide creative direction for content-led campaigns.
• Grow and manage a library of level 1 and evergreen content.
• Identify new and emerging content opportunities appropriate content opportunities using market insight and analytics to continuously develop Child Bereavement UK’s content position.
• Create, assign, commission and manage a diverse range of evergreen and project specific multimedia content including but not limited to video, audio, design and copy.
• Maintain a robust content production schedule to support organisational priorities.
• Quality-assure and ensure all content meets visual identity, user experience, accessibility, safeguarding and GDPR requirements.
• Support colleagues with interviewing service-users, professionals, staff and supporters and producing high-quality case studies for use across channels including the Impact Report, website, publications, social media and fundraising materials.
• Support and guide colleagues with basic content production duties as needed.

4. Brand & Information standards

• Provide line management and leadership to the Brand Lead to oversee brand (design, editorial and audio-visual) standards across all key external communications.
• Support the Brand Lead to identify and steward brand opportunities and collaborations.

5. Insight, Evaluation & Reporting

• Lead ongoing insight and research activities to assess content effectiveness and identify gaps or opportunities.
• Monitor and analyse content reach, performance and effectiveness producing regular reports for senior leadership.
• Adopt test-and-learn approaches (e.g., A/B testing and insight sharing) to drive continuous improvement.

6. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with the Directors of Marketing & Communications, Services & Service Transformation, and Income Generation to deliver strategic content needs.
• Partner with bereavement services, income generation and participation teams to identify and maximise high-value content opportunities.
• Collaborate with brand and marketing colleagues to deliver projects aligned to the marketing strategy and comms plans.
• Liaise with creative agencies, media partners and freelance suppliers.
• Foster strong cross-charity relationships to ensure coherent messaging and shared learning.

Location: Islington based in our Central Office. You will be required to work Mondays in the office, plus an additional day within a service, with home working possible through the rest of the week. About the Role

We're hiring an experienced payroll and pensions officer. You will join a small Payroll team, reporting to the Payroll and Pensions Manager. You will ensure efficient and accurate payroll operations, ensuring staff are paid correctly, on time. You will support in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll, coordinating effective and efficient end-to-end payroll and pensions administration, plus any relevant activity. The People and Culture team overall are a supportive and friendly team, who all have individual personalities and characteristics which bring us together to have a positive working environment as a team.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Legacy & In Memory Officer to join our Fundraising team at St Joseph’s Hospice. We are looking for someone who has experience in delivering legacy and/or in-memory campaigns and working in a fundraising environment.

The purpose of this role is to manage and grow the legacy fundraising and in-memory giving programmes. This will involve providing exceptional stewardship to supporters to build long-term engagement, managing legacy and in-memory campaigns to reach agreed objectives and building relationships with local solicitors and funeral directors alongside other stakeholders.

Working with the Public Fundraising Manager, the post holder will deliver a strategy to increase income, develop relationships and effectively deliver in-memory events and campaigns.

About the role

SWWFL, a wholly-owned trading subsidiary of 8 regional Wildlife Trusts, is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to take on the role of Non-Executive Chair of the Board. This is a pivotal leadership position, providing direction to the Board of Directors, supporting the Chief Executive Officer, and strengthening relationships with our owning Wildlife Trusts and partnerships with client Trusts.

You will also serve as a Company Director of SWWFL, sharing responsibility for the oversight, stewardship, and long-term success of the organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a purpose-driven organisation supporting the work of The Wildlife Trusts across the extended South West.

Key responsibilities

As Chair, you will:

· Lead the Board of Directors, ensuring effective governance, decision-making and accountability

· Work closely with the CEO, providing both support and constructive challenge

· Ensure strong strategic alignment between SWWFL and its owning Wildlife Trusts and client Wildlife Trusts

· Oversee financial performance, risk management and regulatory compliance

· Chair Board meetings and ensure effective participation from all Directors

· Act as an ambassador for SWWFL with external stakeholders and partner Wildlife Trusts

· Lead the annual appraisal and development of the CEO

Governance and Director responsibilities

In addition to Chair duties, the postholder will fulfil the responsibilities of a SWWFL Company Director, including:

· Acting in accordance with the SWWFL Memorandum & Articles of Association and Members’ Agreement

· Exercising independent judgement, care and diligence

· Ensuring robust governance, financial oversight and risk management

· Supporting long-term sustainable success of the business

Terms of appointment

· The Chair is appointed by majority vote of the Board

· Term: normally 3 years, may be renewed, with annual performance review by the Board and owning Trusts

· The Chair role is remunerated, via a contracting agreement, in recognition of additional responsibilities

· The person appointed must, therefore, have appropriate and genuine self-employed status (or equivalent) to receive payment

· Where a Trustee of an owning Wildlife Trust is appointed, they cannot receive remuneration in line with SWWFL governance arrangements

· All Directors (including the Chair in their Director capacity) are subject to SWWFL governance requirements

Some travel across the South West will be required, although many meetings are held remotely.

Eligibility

The Chair does not need to be an employee of an owning Wildlife Trust. However, they do need to be a member of their local Wildlife Trust, and they will operate within a Board that includes Directors who are drawn from the owning Trusts:

Avon, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Hampshire & Isle of Wight, Somerset, Wiltshire, and Worcestershire Wildlife Trusts.

The Role

Trusts and Foundations

Prospect Research and Future Planning

• Proactively carry out detailed and organised research to identify fundraising opportunities across Trust and Foundations.
• Maintain and build a forward-looking pipeline of prospective funding opportunities, ensuring applications are prioritised appropriately based on size, alignment and/or application deadline.
• Support us to develop our Trusts and Foundations Strategy including target income, relationship management and best practice.

Writing Proposals

• Crafting well-written, well-presented and compelling funding applications, taking the time to understand each funder and individually tailor our approach to their criteria.
• Match new and existing applications with specific elements of our work to increase chances of success.
• Help to develop a compelling Case for Support, ensuring we are accurately conveying the impact of our work and maintaining consistency across our applications whilst allowing for nuance.

Building Relationships

• An innate understanding that winning a grant is just the first step of the relationship.
• Ensure all funding relationships are acknowledged and appreciated with priority and genuine care.
• Nurture funding relationships with a person-centred approach rooted in connection, which uses a variety of communication tools (emails, reports, visits) tailored to the funder.
• An understanding of the nuances between different funders and how this informs how we manage and deepen the relationship with the aim to secure future funding.
• Producing monitoring and reporting documents, both bespoke to individual funders and universal for the fundraising operation as a whole.

Database Management

• Maintain our existing management tools for tracking, reporting and stewarding income.
• Helping us implement a bespoke CRM system as our fundraising streams grow in both scale and complexity.

Other

• Our adventure residentials are the core of what we do, and we believe it’s hard to understand the unique power of our work with young people and convey this to others until you experience it yourself. You’ll join us for two residentials (at least!) per year, working alongside our cohorts of young people to immerse yourself in the work which sits at the heart of the organisation. You do not need any special skills as full training will be provided but you do need to be “up for the challenge”. We do lots of adventurous activities in all weathers so being something of an outdoorsy person would be a definite advantage!

Corporate Fundraising

We are looking to develop a Corporate income stream, led by our Senior Leadership team, by building bespoke and unique relationships with companies based in Yorkshire. If you have skills and experience in this area, you may support us to develop this new strand of our work. This new and exciting venture is currently in the preliminary development stages, however roles and responsibilities may look something like:

• Continually undertaking prospect research to identify corporate partners who we can build long-lasting, meaningful relationships with.
• Contacting prospective corporate partners and coordinating meetings with new and existing corporate partners.
• Supporting us to develop our pitch and offering to prospective corporate partners, creating bespoke partnerships which demonstrate our ethos, culture and impact.  
• Support us to develop new ways corporate partners can be involved in our work for mutual benefit.
• Support the development of our stewardship and account management process, including new and innovative ways to develop relationships and monitor impact.
• Work with operational colleagues to plan, coordinate and deliver corporate events.
• Attend networking events to build new relationships with a view of securing new partnerships.

• Prior fundraising experience (Trusts and Foundations and/or Corporate partnerships)
• Highly skilled storyteller able to craft emotive, persuasive and compelling narratives that connect with organisations so they feel inspired to support our vision and mission.
• A natural relationship builder, able to build personal and bespoke relationships with funding organisations using a person-centred approach.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills which conveys ideas and impact to a range of audiences in a clear and confident way.
• Attention-to-detail with sharp focus on small details with understanding as to how they inform the bigger picture.

The Therapies Caseworker will be responsible for supporting delivery of Ben’s therapy provision including Ben’s 24/7 support line and onward therapy referrals. This role requires strong administration and caseworking skills, a level of specialist knowledge or experience and a commitment to providing person centred, compassionate support for those who are struggling or in crisis.

Key responsibilities

• • Provide access to information, advice and guidance regarding Ben’s 24/7 support line and therapy provision.
  • Supporting the Therapies Co-ordinator to manage therapy referrals for service users, helping to ensure that support is delivered in a timely and effective manner.
  • Facilitate referrals to external providers and third parties as applicable to meet service user needs.
  • Review referrals from Ben’s external provider of 24/7 support line and counselling services to assess and provide casework that require ongoing contact whilst receiving therapy support and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders a required, including Ben’s Support Case Managers should this be required.
  • Advocate for service users should this be needed to help ensure the appropriate and effective support and care can be accessed.
  • Help to ensure all service users receive appropriate and effective support and care throughout their engagement with Ben’s support line and therapy provision.
  • Provide emotional support and crisis intervention for service users should the need arise.
  • Maintaining and updating accurate service user records in maintaining confidentiality and GDPR requirements.

· To communicate in a professional and sensitive manner clinical and non-clinical advice and guidance within the scope of the service and practice to both internal and external stakeholders.

· Support Ben’s Urgent Response Service offering briefings, providing listening ear activity and therapeutic activities as and when required.

• • Support with the ongoing management and expansion of Ben’s therapy directory of providers and associates as required.

· In the absence of Therapies Co-ordinator or when needed may be required to set up new providers and associates, including due diligence checks which are also in line with new supplier requirements for financial administration.

· Support with the collection of management information and service user client outcomes and satisfaction data and insights.

· Collaborate on initiatives and projects that advance Ben’s charitable mission and objectives.

· Ensure any associated targets, SLA’s are worked towards and achieved and any underperformance is escalated accordingly.

· There may be times when the Therapies Caseworker may be required to support additional duties or projects. This will be discussed with them and agreed with their line manager.

Whilst this role does not specifically require the individual in post to be a clinician, this would be a desirable and enable the postholder to deliver internal therapeutic support for specific cases, providing telephone / virtual counselling sessions to identified individuals. In this instance, the postholder would also be required to maintain their professional registrations and CPD (Continuing Professional Development) as applicable, this will be supported by the organisation also.

Qualifications required

We are seeking an experienced corporate fundraiser to build our burgeoning programme, unlock exciting new opportunities for support and lead on developing new voluntary income from corporate partnerships. You will champion creative, insight-driven new business development and account management, ensuring partnerships are meaningful, mutually beneficial and aligned with our mission. • Strong commercial awareness, with ability to identify and prioritise high-value opportunities. Proactive and assertive, with the ability to recognise and act on new opportunities and the tenacity to secure meetings.

Who you’ll work with: Your line manager will be the Head of Fundraising and you will work alongside a fundraising officer. The fundraising team sits in the Operations Directorate.

Where you’ll work: All Voice 21 staff work remotely and this is a home-based role, with some travel expected to our London office (by Victoria station) and elsewhere for meetings. Birmingham Hospice is looking for a talented and driven Retail Communications Officer to join our Income Generation and Marketing Team. This is a brand-new role - an exciting opportunity to shape something from the ground up and make it your own.

Our hospice’s retail estate is growing fast. With 26 shops and more on the way, retail is a vital source of income that helps us care for hundreds of patients and families across Birmingham each year. But to make the most of that opportunity, we need brilliant communications and marketing support behind it.

As our Retail Communications Officer, you’ll be responsible for delivering marketing for our shops, for retail-led events, our house clearance service, furniture collections and new store openings - driving footfall, awareness and income through creative campaigns, standout social media content and strong community relationships. You’ll be a trusted partner to our Retail Team, helping to build a consistent, professional presence for every shop in its community – and playing a key role in the growth of our retail offering.

You’ll work closely with our Retail and Communications teams, building real partnerships, supporting volunteer and staff recruitment, and helping ensure every one of our shops has a consistent, professional presence in its community.

What you’ll be doing

• Creating and managing campaigns that drive retail income, donations and footfall.

• Building and maintaining a strong retail presence on digital channels.

• Marketing house clearances, furniture collections and new shop launches.

• Supporting volunteer and staff recruitment through compelling storytelling and employer brand content.

• Monitoring campaign performance and reporting on key metrics, using insight to refine and improve activity.

• Equipping the Retail Team with tools, templates and training to ensure a consistent brand presence across all shops.

What we’re looking for:

• A background in marketing, communications or PR.

• Confidence across digital channels including social media, email and content management.

• Strong creative skills - you can write, design and produce quality content.

• Excellent project management and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• A collaborative, relationship-driven approach.

• Ideally, experience in retail, charity or income generation marketing (though not essential).

Working closely with leading researchers and institutions, including the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology at the University of Oxford, the Trust plays a vital role in advancing pioneering research with real-world impact.

About the role

Reporting to the Research Programme Manager, the Research Support Officer will support the delivery of the Trust’s research funding activities, helping to ensure grant programmes run smoothly from application through to award and ongoing monitoring.

This is a varied and rewarding role combining administration, coordination and stakeholder engagement, ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple projects in a small team environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating grant application and peer review processes
• Managing queries from applicants and grant holders
• Maintaining accurate grant data across CRM systems and SharePoint
• Supporting Research Committee and award panel meetings
• Assisting with post-award grant monitoring and reporting
• Supporting communications, website updates and social media content
• Providing logistical support for events and conferences
• Helping maintain relationships with key research partners

About you

We are looking for someone who is:

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Proactive and confident managing multiple priorities
• A strong communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a small team
• Confident using CRM systems, SharePoint or similar platforms
• Interested in research, science or the charity sector

Experience within a research funding, academic or scientific environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Most importantly, you will be someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in delivering high-quality work, and is motivated by supporting research that has a meaningful impact.
