Role purpose

The London Recovery Network Coordinator will provide day-to-day coordination, oversight and development of the Network, ensuring that it operates effectively, inclusively and in line with its strategic objectives.

The postholder will act as a central connecting point between recovery communities, peer-led organisations, treatment providers, commissioners and London-wide partners, supporting collaboration, shared learning and system influence. A key aspect of the role will be supporting the meaningful involvement of people with lived experience and helping to build the foundations for the Network’s long-term sustainability.

Background

The London Recovery Network (LRN) brings together individuals and organisations committed to supporting recovery from problematic drug and alcohol use. The Network aims to improve awareness, visibility and connectivity across the recovery landscape, enabling professionals, peers and communities to better understand and share available recovery support across London.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in coordinating, developing and strengthening the London Recovery Network as it continues to grow and progresses towards a more formal, sustainable and potentially standalone organisation.

The role is hosted by Collective Voice, acting as the umbrella organisation for the London Recovery Network.

While the role is hybrid, there will be a requirement to attend regular meetings and events in London and build local relationships, so the successful candidate will need to live within a one-hour commuting distance from Central London.

We plan to hold interviews in person in Central London on Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd of September.

Key duties and responsibilities

Network coordination and operations

• Provide oversight and coordination of the day-to-day activities of the London Recovery Network.
• Coordinate the delivery of quarterly and annual LRN events, including planning, logistics, promotion and follow-up.
• Support and recruit new partners to the LRN working group and wider network.
• Maintain and update the LRN community asset map, ensuring information is accurate, current and accessible.
• Be responsible for coordinating network communications and online presence through the LRN website and social media channels.

Strategic development and governance

• Support the development and delivery of the LRN action plan, aligned to agreed priorities.
• Provide coordination and administrative support to the LRN Steering Group and any sub-groups, including agenda-setting, papers, action tracking and follow-up.
• Support the development of appropriate governance arrangements, policies and partnership agreements as the Network progresses towards a more formal and potentially standalone structure.

Stakeholder engagement and system influence

• Build and maintain strong relationships with recovery communities, peer-led organisations, service providers, commissioners and London-wide partners.
• Act as a conduit for sharing intelligence, learning and good practice across the London recovery system.
• Represent the LRN at relevant regional or national meetings, events and forums, where appropriate.

Lived experience and inclusion

• Ensure people with lived experience of substance use treatment and recovery are meaningfully involved in LRN activities, events and decision-making.
• Promote inclusive and recovery-oriented approaches that reflect London’s diverse communities, including women, families, ethnically diverse communities and people experiencing multiple disadvantage.

Communications and knowledge sharing

• Coordinate LRN communications activity, including newsletters, briefings and digital content, in line with agreed priorities.
• Support the development of resources that promote recovery visibility, challenge stigma and highlight community-based support.
• Capture and share learning, impact and outcomes from LRN activity.

Funding, finance and sustainability

• Actively support and contribute to fundraising and income generation activity, identifying opportunities to support the Network’s sustainability.
• Manage and track the LRN budget, ensuring expenditure remains within agreed limits.
• Oversee the preparation, submission and follow-up of accurate invoices and financial information for funders.

Monitoring and reporting

• Support proportionate monitoring of LRN activity, outputs and impact.
• Contribute to reports and updates for funders and stakeholders, including progress, risks and emerging issues.

Person specification

Essential

• Demonstrable experience of supporting or coordinating projects, programmes or networks.
• Strong understanding of, and commitment to, recovery from drug and alcohol use, particularly in the London context.
• Experience of working in partnership with community, voluntary or peer-led organisations.
• Good financial management skills, with experience of managing or monitoring budgets responsibly.
• Ability to supervise and support volunteers in the LRN, including working with external volunteer leads from partner organisations.
• Ability to organise, support and chair meetings involving a wide range of stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
• Strong digital communication skills including the use of social media platforms.

Marketing & PR Manager

About the role

This is a senior role working across the whole Charity, tasked with growing public awareness and support for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity. Leading on marketing, PR, brand and design, this role will manage relations with media, stakeholders, supporters and the wider public, creating and delivering engaging campaigns, generating support for the Charity, demonstrating impact and increasing income generation.

This is an exciting time to join the Charity as it moves to the next stage in its growth. As part of a busy and ambitious team, this role would suit an experienced, proactive and creative individual with a talent for storytelling and a knowledge of data-driven marketing.

You’ll have strong commercial knowledge, with the ability to apply this to the charity sector; adding value to our existing fundraising activities and impact reporting.   

Key responsibilities include:

· Create and deliver a comprehensive marketing & public relations strategy for the Charity to increase levels of awareness, reaching and engaging audiences.

What we are looking for:

Job title: Impact and Communications Officer

We're looking for a curious and capable Impact and Communications Officer to help us find, assess, report on and support some of the world’s highest impact climate and nature charities. 

Internally, you will play a critical role in supporting the research on charities within our portfolio that our Due Diligence Committee oversees – helping develop our methodology and feeding into charity selection and assessment projects. You’ll help write impact reports and coordinate webinars for our network about our charities. You’ll also manage, update and clean leads in our CRM (Beacon), and support month-end financial processing. 

Externally, you will produce much of the Global Returns Project’s communications content, telling compelling stories about cutting-edge environmental projects. You’ll assist with scheduling and sending our newsletters, keeping our website up-to-date, and editing video content. As we generate support for our portfolio via public campaigns and match-funding initiatives, you’ll help coordinate these efforts in line with the strategy set by the wider team.

Your role 

Join Global’s Make Some Noise as our Partnerships Manager and be at the forefront of driving fundraising income through securing and account managing high value corporate and charity partnerships.

This is a predominantly new business role (around 70%), focused on identifying opportunities, developing compelling partnership propositions and securing significant income through both commercial and charity partnerships. Working across the Charity to deliver effective internal communications, including:

• SharePoint intranet content
• CEO updates and leadership communications
• Quarterly College Conversations staff briefings
• Organisational announcements
• Change communications
• Support HR with colleague engagement initiatives
• Working closely with the Records Management Lead to promote good information-sharing and best practice in document management

5. Supporting organisational change 

Support leaders and teams to communicate change effectively, including:

• Progress against strategic priorities
• New services and initiatives
• Technology and new ways of working
• Sustainability and ESG activity
• Service improvements and organisational developments

6. Communication standards and brand

Champion high-quality communications by:

• Promoting brand guidance and tone of voice using the Morden College Message House
• Supporting colleagues to communicate effectively and confidently
• Encouraging accessible communication practices
• Developing templates, guidance and communication resources
• Promoting high standards of writing, editing and content creation
• Arranging and using high-quality photography, video and visual content
• Supporting effective communication planning and coordination across the organisation

About you

You are an experienced and confident communications professional who combines strong writing skills with the ability to build relationships, influence colleagues and create effective ways of working.  You enjoy understanding complex organisations, finding the stories that matter and turning complex information into clear, engaging communications.

You are organised, proactive and confident working with people across all levels of an organisation. You will bring a collaborative approach, helping colleagues communicate more effectively while ensuring communications are planned, consistent and aligned with Morden College’s values and priorities.

Essential criteria

• Experience working in a communications role, particularly internal communications, colleague engagement or organisational communications
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Experience creating engaging communications across a range of channels and audiences
• Experience developing communication plans and coordinating communications activity
• Experience managing websites, newsletters, intranets or other communication platforms
• Ability to understand complex information and translate it into clear, accessible and engaging messages
• Experience building effective relationships and working collaboratively with colleagues at all levels
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Understanding of inclusive and accessible communication practices
• A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach

Desirable criteria

• Experience working in a charity, housing, care, health, community or similar organisation
• Experience communicating with residents, service users or community groups
• Experience supporting organisational change and engagement activities
• Experience using SharePoint, CRM systems or similar intranet platforms
• Experience using audience insight and analytics to improve engagement
• Understanding of GDPR, information-sharing and good digital practice
• Experience supporting the development or implementation of CRM systems, customer databases or digital engagement platforms.
• Understanding of digital inclusion and approaches to increasing confidence in using technology
• Experience creating photography, video or visual content.
• Experience working with older people or services that support people in later life
