As a Software Developer within Cadet Digital Services, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful development and maintenance of digital applications, primarily the Westminster MIS platform.
Working as part of a collaborative digital delivery team alongside a Solutions Architect, the developer will deliver well-structured, secure solutions in line with MOD digital and security standards, supporting the effective delivery of cadet activities across the UK.

Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain application components using Oracle APEX, PL/SQL, and related technologies.
· Implement user interface elements and application logic in line with existing designs and patterns.
· Collaborate closely with your product owner, testers, and other team members to understand requirements and contribute to user-focused solutions.
· Participate fully in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives) and work within agreed sprint commitments.
· Apply established MOD standards for security, accessibility, and performance across all development tasks. Take part in estimating, code reviews, testing, and documentation to support quality and maintainability.
· Contribute ideas for improvements and raise technical issues through the team’s established processes.
· Resolve bugs and minor enhancements raised by the Service Operations Team, prioritised and assigned to sprints as part of the development workflow.
· Suggest improvements and raise technical issues through established team processes.

This is a pivotal, full-time permanent role, providing high-level executive and administrative support within a values-driven organisation that works to strengthen communities, promote inclusion and nurture future generations. The position is primarily office-based at their Finchley site in North London, with some flexibility to work from home on Fridays, which are often a shorter working day for staff.
In this role, you will act as a central point of coordination for the Co-Leads, ensuring the smooth and effective running of their day-to-day operations. You will manage complex diaries, appointments and travel arrangements, proactively organising schedules to make the best use of time and ensuring senior-level engagements run seamlessly. As the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, you will handle enquiries with professionalism, sensitivity and discretion, while overseeing correspondence, inbox management and email triage. You will support the preparation of briefings, reports and presentations, coordinate attendance at events and community engagements, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records and templates. Alongside this, you will play a key role in governance and organisational support, including preparing and circulating meeting papers, agendas and minutes for board and committee meetings, managing meeting schedules and follow-ups, and ensuring timely communications across governance processes. You will also support statutory and regulatory updates with relevant bodies, contribute to the smooth running of the organisation’s centres through administrative oversight, and assist with maintaining the community database.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant with a proven track record of providing high-level support to senior leaders in a fast-paced environment. You will be highly organised, able to juggle multiple priorities with accuracy and calm under pressure, and confident in managing complex diaries and workflows. Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to engage professionally and warmly with a wide range of stakeholders. You will be digitally confident, with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience maintaining databases and digital records with a strong focus on confidentiality and data accuracy. A proactive problem solver, you will use initiative to anticipate needs and resolve issues with minimal supervision, while working collaboratively as part of a small team. Experience within a charity, membership or values-led organisation would be advantageous, along with an understanding of, or willingness to learn about, the community the organisation serves. Above all, you will share a commitment to kindness, integrity, inclusion and empowerment, bringing empathy, professionalism and positivity to everything you do.

As the Head of Governance, you will work closely with the Director of Governance & Purpose (Company Secretary) to support the Chair of the Board of Trustees and the Chairs of committees with advice and support on standards of good governance, and compliance - particularly around or SDI status.
Reporting to the Director of Governance and Purpose, the successful candidate will also ensure ongoing monitoring of governance effectiveness and continuous improvement, and the efficient and effective administration of governance process, including trustee and committee member recruitment and onboarding, tracking appointment terms, and annual skills audits. About this role
The Programmes Quality and Delivery department is a key unit within SPANA’s Global Programmes Directorate (GPD). The team ensures effective oversight of the design and delivery of working animal health and welfare interventions in collaboration with a range of national NGO partners across more than 20 countries in Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Central and South America. SPANA is strengthening the GPD to support partners to develop and deliver transformational and sustainable improvements in working animal welfare.
Reporting to a Senior Programmes Manager, the Programmes Officer provides essential grant administration and project management support to a portfolio of partners, ensuring effective oversight across the lifecycle of grants. This involves developing effective working partnerships remotely and identifying risks and issues that need to be escalated. The Programmes Officer works closely with technical colleagues responsible for Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL), animal health and welfare, education and behaviour change and the wider organisation (e.g., communications, fundraising, advocacy and policy).
Contract, location and salary
This role is a full-time (34.5 hours per week), permanent role. This is a UK based position, with 1-2 days per month (or more if preferred) worked from SPANA's office in London.
The salary for this role is c.£32,000 subject to skills and experience. Applicants must have the current right to work in the UK.
