The role
Young Scot is seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial and delivery-focused leader to help shape and drive a step-change in how we generate income and build partnerships.
This is a pivotal role at a defining moment for the organisation with the recent appointment of a new CEO, as well launching a new organisational strategic vision. As we evolve our operating model and ambitions, you will lead the development of a more diverse, sustainable and innovative income portfolio - ensuring we can continue to deliver meaningful impact for young people aged 11–26 across Scotland.
Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team (SLT), you will design and implement a new income generation strategy, unlocking opportunities across corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, public sector funding and earned income streams. You will take an “intrapreneurial” approach - building new propositions, testing ideas and embedding a culture where income generation is seen as a shared organisational priority.
This role offers significant autonomy, creativity and influence. You will be equally comfortable setting strategic direction and personally leading high-value relationships, as you are enabling written bids and researching new partnerships.

1. Strategic Leadership & Income Strategy
Develop and deliver a clear, ambitious income generation and partnerships strategy aligned to organisational priorities, with metrics and deliverables set.
Build a diversified income model across multiple streams (corporate, trusts & foundations, public sector, earned income, philanthropy).
Identify emerging fundraising trends, new tools, opportunities and risks across Scotland, the UK and internationally.

Background
The Brazelton Centre UK aims to support the transition and adjustment to parenthood, focusing on the development and mental health needs of both babies and parents. Holding the baby in mind, the Centre, which is research and practice based, enables health professionals to facilitate relationship building between parents and their newborn at a time that is experienced as a major life event. The philosophy of the organisation is one of enabling effective service development, appropriate clinical intervention and sharing of expertise.
The Centre, established in Cambridge in 1997, is a training organisation for health professionals and researchers who work with babies and parents.We offer training courses in the Newborn Behavioural Observations System (NBO) and Neonatal Behavioural Assessment Scale. (NBAS). Brazelton Centre UK is one of four Centres in the world, teaching the NBO and NBAS, and the most active.Brazelton UK works in partnership with other organisations on training, surveys and research, including third sector organisations, universities, NHS trusts and organisations providing support for the under-fives. Almost 6,000 practitionershave undertaken the UK training courses in both the NBO and NBAS.
The Centre currently has a staff of 7 from different professional groups, in a range of roles, with 10 Trainers across the UK, able to teach specific courses as required.
The charity has a Board of Trustees.The Strategy and Service Development Lead will report directly to the Director and be ultimately accountable to the Board of Trustees.

The role of Community Fundraising Officer is all about helping to turn that vision into reality by inspiring people to actively support nature through fundraising, events, partnerships and & encouraging community-led initiatives. It is a role that combines relationship-building, creativity & practical organisation, while giving the successful person the chance to make a direct contribution to helping bring nature back to Suffolk.
The position focuses strongly on developing community fundraising opportunities & building lasting supporter relationships. The post holder will work with the Philanthropy & Fundraising Manager to deliver fundraising plans, meet income targets & create new opportunities for people across Suffolk to get involved. This role will help create a loyal and motivated supporter base that feels closely connected to the impact of its contributions.
This role also includes supporting fundraising events and campaigns, representing the Trust at local events and encouraging deeper engagement with the charity’s wider work. Alongside these outward-facing responsibilities, the Community Fundraising Officer will help ensure fundraising activity is well organised, compliant with relevant standards and legislation and accurately recorded through the Trust’s CRM system. This opportunity would suit someone who is enthusiastic, organised and people-focused, and who wants to make a direct contribution to Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s ambitious goal of helping nature recover and thrive for the future.
To succeed in this role, the successful applicant will need a strong commitment to our mission & vision along with experience in a similar role, ideally within the charity sector, along with excellent communication & relationship-building skills. The ability to inspire supporters and volunteers is essential, as is strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities. You will also be able to build professional working relationships across teams & work collaboratively, understand GDPR and fundraising best practice and be confident using Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint and CRM systems such as Access CRM.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm). We operate flexible homeworking arrangements where colleagues spend more time working together than homeworking. The base of work will be Brooke House and the starting salary will be between £26,000.00 and £28,000.00 per annum depending on skills, knowledge and experience.

As National Director of Operations, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for our learning programmes in prisons and community settings. Working closely with senior colleagues, partner organisations and national bodies such as HMPPS, you will drive programme excellence, innovation and partnership working. Key responsibilities
Ensure partners and young people in our eight #iwill Towns & Cities of Social Action (TaCSA) understand and feel connected to the #iwill movement through consistent communication, engagement in opportunities, and inclusion in movement development discussions/activities.
In partnership with our partners in the TaCSAs, develop and deliver a programme of youth development and social action activity, with emphasis on those communities.
Working closely with the Communications team, co-create and support communications that profile youth voice, platform stories, and showcase impact through digital and traditional media.
Facilitate opportunities for young people to build their confidence, skills and leadership through volunteering, campaigning and social action opportunities.
In partnership with the Nationally-focused Manager and Officer, ensure young people from our TaCSAs have access to opportunities to influence and take action at a national level as well as in their local area.
Coordinate and support on youth-facing campaigns and events such as Power of Youth Day, #iWill Week, and key regional activities.
Ensure opportunities for young people prioritise inclusion and accessibility for those who might need additional support and encouragement to step up and engage.
Support young people to create digital content (e.g. blogs, videos, social posts) and partner with them to tell their stories across local and national platforms.
Develop content on agreed digital platforms to engage and connect young people and networks across the UK.
Organise and manage logistics for youth activities: prioritising safeguarding, appropriate briefings, communication promotion and stakeholder coordination.
Engage with partners and stakeholders—youth workers, media, funders, local authorities—to build alliances, increase visibility of youth-led work and encourage new opportunities.
Communicate the benefits of the UK Youth and #iwill Movement and progress against our priorities to organisations and individuals, through a variety of channels, updates and specific marketing campaigns.
Experience we're after
A nationally recognised youth work qualification or ability to demonstrate experience of frontline youth work delivery, understanding of contextual safeguarding and data protection is highly desirable.
Experience of working with young volunteers and/or social action projects.
Demonstrated experience in digital engagement and communications activities—especially creating content with young people.
Experience of using digital platforms to engage networks and communities.
Proven track record of project coordination, event management, or logistical planning within a youth or voluntary sector setting.
Experience working in place-based contexts and understanding how to engage local communities and young people meaningfully.
Confident engaging with and coaching young people to take on new opportunities, lead campaigns, tell their stories, or influence decisions.
Familiarity with facilitating groups sessions and workshops is highly desirable.
