Campaign for Better Transport is the only UK charity working across all sustainable transport modes. We advocate for better, greener, fairer transport for all – working with government, industry and communities to make the case for investment in sustainable transport.

This is an exciting opportunity to manage and shape our fundraising capability and help make a positive difference to people’s lives. We are a small but dedicated team looking for someone to play a strategic and active hands-on role in increasing income generation.

The purpose of the role is threefold:

  • 40%: To oversee the cultivation, development and maintenance of Campaign for Better Transport’s corporate partnerships, relationships and funding
  • 40%: To maintain and develop funding from Trusts and Foundations and High Net Worth Individuals
  • 20%: To plan and oversee Campaign for Better Transport’s overall events programme, using external agencies as necessary to deliver specific events. To support where necessary the Head of Policy Research & Projects and the Head of External Affairs who organise other industry, public sector and stakeholder events.

In addition, to have oversight of Individual Giving (managed by the Heads of Comms) and its contribution to overall funding.

Person specification

We’re looking for an exceptional fundraiser who can turn opportunities into income and relationships into lasting partnerships. With a strong track record of securing major funding from businesses, trusts and foundations, you’ll combine strategic vision with hands-on delivery, building influential networks, crafting compelling bids, managing budgets and projects, and overseeing high-impact events that help drive our mission forward.

First-round interviews will take place in the week commencing 19 October

Final interviews will take place in the week commencing 26 October

Closing date: 23:59 on Sunday 11 October
