The Organiser will be responsible for powering Compass’ local groups, with a key focus on building our local groups ahead of the next election, and developing relationships across progressive political parties. They will play a key role in helping Compass strengthen its organising infrastructure while building productive relationships with partners outside Labour, including Liberal Democrats, Greens, and Welsh and Scottish nationalists, and with regional leaders working outside Westminster.
They will support work across the full range of Compass’ campaigns work, building powerful coalitions in key seats, growing the local groups infrastructure, developing cross-party relationships, and working on cutting through to key constituencies.
The role requires someone to use their excellent relationship building skills to work with diverse groups of people to build and grow teams around a shared vision and strategy.
The Organiser will work closely with Compass’ Deputy Director, as well as with the Executive Director, Campaigns Officer, Fundraising and Membership Manager, and Media and Press Officer, and alongside a broad network of partners, allies, associates and volunteers. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, relational, organised, committed and keen to learn. They should be comfortable working in a small, lively team and with groups and political traditions with different perspectives.

We currently expect the split of time to be roughly 75% on community fundraising and 25% on events, but the two areas will be closely connected, and this split may change over time. You will report to the Head of Events & Community and work closely with the whole team, as well as colleagues across PCR. Most of the Events team try to work together once a week when possible at our London office (Chancery Lane) but we have flexible working arrangements, so you can choose to be office based or hybrid. Daylight Women’s Day Centre is an exciting new service providing a place of safety and support for women who are long term rough sleepers in London. We want to reach women who have experienced abuse, mental illness, addiction, poor physical health, unclear immigration status and homelessness. DreamArts fuses arts and therapeutic practice to support wellbeing. Our acclaimed EXPERIMENT Juniors programme engages 6-12 year olds to explore and unleash their talents, try things out, express themselves and grow their skills.
Participants take control and create their own original work, from musicals to collaborating with companies such as Les Enfants Terribles.
EXPERIMENT takes place on a Saturday in South Westminster and on Sundays in Church Street plus some special projects during school holidays. The majority of participants are eligible for free school meals and live in some of London’s most deprived areas.
We are looking for a Wellbeing Practitioner for our Sunday group who is able to inspire and support young people, in particular those who may struggle in group settings. You must be passionate about engaging participants from marginalised communities and committed to support wellbeing through the arts. You will help young people participate in creative sessions that provide opportunities to explore their challenges, build a sense of belonging with peers and strengthen their emotional wellbeing.
Working alongside creative facilitators, the Wellbeing Practitioner will focus on identifying and removing barriers to participation, identifying appropriate support that responds to emerging needs and creates a sense of community.

We’re looking for a highly motivated and passionate senior PR officer to play a leading role in the delivery of Girlguiding’s ambitious and integrated media strategy. Working within the busy press office, you’ll secure media opportunities to help girls’ voices be heard, drive brand awareness and promote Girlguiding’s award-winning youth offer and the life changing opportunities guiding provides.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience delivering creative, high impact national and regional PR campaigns to engage target audiences across a wide range of media. They will have an excellent news sense, extensive knowledge of UK media and the ability to identify and maximise PR opportunities. They will feel confident briefing Girlguiding’s young spokespeople as well as senior management, produce high-quality press materials and have a strong social media know-how. They will also have experience in line management and crisis and reputational risk management.
The post requires working outside of 9-5 office hours, such as evenings and occasionally weekends, to be part of the press on-call rota and to travel to other locations as necessary, for which time off in lieu and an allowance will be given.
