About the Role
TRAINING OFFICER
We provide training and consultancy to organisations that work directly with care-experienced young people, in order to upskill and develop professionals who are committed to improving outcomes for children in care and care leavers.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Training Officer to plan, design and deliver training content that makes a real impact. We are seeking an excellent facilitator to deliver this important provision, who is creative, professionally curious and has strong organisational and self-administration skills.
The Training Officer will be involved in delivering our standard courses, alongside developing new and innovative pieces of work, including digital, online and in-person training packages. They will also support the delivery, assessment and ongoing development of an accredited learning programme for Personal Advisers in Leaving Care Service Teams.
Location
Our team currently work remotely from home, with the required attendance of in-person meetings (generally expected once or twice per month). In-person meetings usually take place in our office space in Old Street, London and Become covers the cost of travel within Great Britain for essential in-person meetings.
The role of Training Officer also requires regular delivery of training sessions at client venues across England (travel expenses covered).
The Old Street office space is available for team members to work from if preferred. For non-London based team members hot-desking options near you can be requested if required.

Based: Home working, with regular travel across Greater Manchester and to our offices in Liverpool, Leeds, Wakefield and Coventry.

The Community Fundraiser role is responsible for establishing and developing community fundraising systems and activities. This is BHA's first dedicated fundraising position, offering a unique opportunity to build sustainable income streams whilst building trusted relationships with Ethnic Minorities communities in and around Manchester, and others interested in supporting our cause. You will plan and deliver culturally appropriate fundraising events, develop digital fundraising campaigns, establish donor databases and create fundraising systems that align with our values and mission. The successful applicant should bring proven experience in community fundraising with our target audience.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate success in generating income through community engagement, has experience planning and delivering fundraising events, and understands the principles of community-centric fundraising.You will be comfortable establishing systems and processes as needed, working independently whilst collaborating across teams. Cultural competency and sensitivity when working with diverse communities is essential, along with the ability to build trust and rapport with different community groups. Strong communication skills, attention to detail regarding compliance and data protection, and creative problem-solving abilities will be crucial to your success in this role.The post holder will have the following essential criteria:
- Experience in successfully generating income through community fundraising activities
- Demonstrable experience working and building relationships with marginalised communities, particularly LGBTQ+ and/or Ethnic Minorities communities
- Experience planning and delivering fundraising events
- Experience establishing or developing fundraising systems and processes
- Understanding of the challenges and opportunities in fundraising within diverse communities
- Prepared to abide by the values and ethos of BHA For Equality
- Prepared to regularly work unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends for community events

About the role
After extensive scoping work throughout 2025, we are launching an exciting project to create a step change in the way we deliver our organisational knowledge, clinical expertise and information to add commercial value to potential customers across a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, diagnostic and pharmaceutical companies. This new role of Head of Commercial Development will own the creation, development and delivery of this work.
You will be responsible for leading the creation of a commercial proposition for Myeloma UK, which will deepen relationships with the healthcare industry, pharmaceutical industry and other associated sectors, to promote Myeloma UK’s knowledge and expertise for commercial return. You will lead, develop and deliver our commercial development strategy, to include research, partner development and ongoing portfolio growth and development, to deliver a long-term, sustainably growing income stream from Myeloma UK’s commercial relationships. Individual Giving Lead (Donor Development)
You will be an experienced, ambitious, proactive fundraiser who works fast and efficiently to develop relationships with individual supporters through a variety of channels including direct mail, email and digital channels. We’re just scratching the surface – currently the individual giving programme is heavily focus on direct mail – you have the chance to shape this programme and make this role your own.

Individual Giving Lead (Donor Development)
As our Donor Development Lead, through testing, learning and optimising, you will work with colleagues across Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) to deliver a programme of offline and online products and campaigns (including appeals, newsletters and bespoke touchpoints) to existing supporters to generate income through one-off, regular giving and legacy income.
You will work to develop our understanding of supporter motivations and use your curiosity to interpret data to enable the creation of hyper-personalised communications and best-in-class supporter journeys within our development programme.

- An experienced, proactive individual giving fundraiser with a passion for delivering outstanding donor experiences and compelling campaigns, appeals, and calls to action.

Key Responsibilities
· Develop and deliver an annual Donor Development programme as part of the Individual Giving Strategy.
· Work with creative agencies and suppliers to brief, develop, deliver and evaluate a series of online and offline appeals, newsletters, and bespoke communications, through direct mail, telephone marketing, email and other channels.
· Build journeys for mid-value donors, regular givers, pre-lapsed supporters and legacy contacts (enquirers, intenders and pledgers).
· Collaborate with the with the wider team to deliver an exceptional welcome journey.
· Monitor KPIs and use insight to improve retention, net income, and lifetime value.
Essential Skills & Experience
· Experience of working in a fast-paced individual giving team
