About you
As our Senior Manager, Transformational Philanthropy, you will report directly into our Transformational Philanthropy Lead, and take charge of some of our highest-value philanthropic partnerships: multimillion commitments from philanthropic partners, aimed at delivering impact for children, families, and communities.
You will be responsible for nurturing these relationships, managing projects, and liaising with external stakeholders to ensure alignment with our strategic priorities.
In this role, day -to- day, you will:
• Lead 3-4 transformational philanthropic partnerships with meticulous account management, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders for seamless execution.
• Deliver exceptional engagement and stewardship opportunities for our partners, including helping to shape and design new strategic programmes, reporting back to stakeholders on their impact, and maintaining excellent relationships with philanthropic partners.
• Secure and uphold multi-year commitments from philanthropists and foundations, driving impact aligned with our organisational goals.
• Act as a representative of Save the Children, advocating for our mission while addressing the needs of our partners internally.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to advance our transformational giving strategy and support initiatives like Shifting the Power & localisation.
• Represent Save the Children in various forums to foster global collaboration and maximise the impact of our partnerships.
• Foster a positive team culture within the Philanthropy & Partnerships team, promoting inclusivity, professionalism, and accountability.
• Serve as an external face for Save the Children, engaging with stakeholders both within and outside the organisation.
To be successful, it is important that you have:
• Extensive experience in customer-facing or account management roles, ideally within philanthropy, corporate partnerships, or the private sector.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on building sustainable, high-impact relationships.
• Proven track record of securing grants or contracts and managing partnerships through their lifecycle.

About the role
As High Value Communications Manager, you'll produce a range of written and designed materials for major donors, trusts, foundations, and corporate partners. You'll also work collaboratively across the BHF including with fundraisers, grant managers and health insight professionals to identify effective narratives and advise on funding opportunities. Working arrangements
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.

About you
To succeed in the role, you should have:
- Proven experience of showcasing the impact of a charitable organisation for an audience of high-level donors, preferably in a medical science context, to foster repeat and lifelong support.
- Proven experience of producing high specification documents for a discerning readership, encompassing experience in copy writing, desktop publishing including InDesign and the effective use of images.
- Demonstrable project management experience, preferably in producing short and longform written materials from conception to delivery, in both digital and hard copy formats.
- Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders towards a common goal.
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver high quality work to a deadline.
- Familiarity with fundraising databases such as OneCRM and Raiser's Edge databases, would be a valuable bonus.

About the Role
This is a role with the full support of our new CEO Vanessa Longley. Corporate Partnerships constitutes a key strategic growth area and income stream for Street Child, especially of unrestricted/flexible funds - and is one we are committed to significantly developing as a key pilar of our plans for continued growth. The role
We believe Street Child has a huge opportunity to achieve even more growth in the sector over the coming years and want to create a new Partnership Development and New Business function as a key enabler to achieving our planned growth. Reporting to our recently appointed Director of Corporate Partnerships & Fundraising, your role will have two core elements:
- Partnership Development: Working closely with our Account Management and Events teams, to develop plans to maximise our existing partner network and portfolio of warm relationships across the corporate sector, including via our unique and strong relationship with Liberty Global within the Financial services and Tech industries.
- New Business: Leading on the development of our New Business strategy and plans to engage corporates on a global basis – we have a small but growing team of global fundraisers that the role will support to build a truly global offering and New Business approach to building corporate relationships, winning, and delivering new corporate partnerships at seven-figure level capable of achieving transformative, global impact.
Key activities in this role:
- Development of Partnership Development and New Business engagement plans and strategy;
- Implementing ambitious New Business campaigns to target priority industries, including the oversight of prospecting and marketing mapping activity;
- Active networking and attending various international events to maximise New Business opportunities;
- Consistent, proactive New Business activity via Street Child networks and cold approaches;
- Searching for suitable open opportunities/calls to apply to and working with colleagues to submit high quality applications;
- Supporting the development of our corporate advocacy and engagement strategy, including the identification of suitable opportunities for Street Child to showcase its work to new corporates (e.g. conferences etc) - and helping plan/strategise Street Child presence as appropriate (including Davos, UNGA, MWC);
- Working with colleagues to develop our corporate propositions – both fundraising products and exciting, innovative new project proposals alongside our Programme Funding teams.

This is an exciting, new role in a small team with hugely ambitious and exciting global growth plans in the coming years. This role will be a key, senior role at the heart of our rapidly growing organisation making a great difference to the lives of children living in the world’s lowest resource and most dangerous humanitarian contexts. You will have huge support - but also a lot of scope to make the role your own and choose your path to impact. The opportunity here for impact, and career progression, is vast. We would expect the role to progress to Head Of level within the next 2-3 years.
We will consider candidates with two types of backgrounds:

This role will sit within the wider Income and Generation Team and will work closely with colleagues across the Centre to ensure that the approach to Individual and Corporate Giving aligns with the Centre’s ambition to be a community-led organisation, working with the community to develop and implement a person-centred, holistic and integrated model of support, driven by what matters to the community.
This role needs to promote a positive culture of collaboration, creativity and innovation across the organisation as well with external stakeholders. It will play an important role in enabling the team to achieve their strategic goals and contribute to developing the internal culture of the organisation, specifically driving forward a commitment to being a truly antiracist and inclusive organisation and creating space for honest conversations and feedback.
As Individual and Corporate Giving Manager, you will:
- Develop and nurture effective relationships and strategic partnerships with major donors and corporates (in collaboration with the Head of Income Generation and Marketing and CEO), increasing value and loyalty from donors at four and five+ figure level, supporting an income target of £300k
- Steward and recruit individual and corporate donors whilst developing and retaining regular and cash givers
- Build on existing individual donor programmes and corporate relationships and have creative input into the Individual and Corporate Giving strategy that aligns with organisational objectives
- Explore and test new methods for donor recruitment and retention
Ideal skills and experience:
- Experience of securing income from Individuals and Corporates including, identifying potential donors, engaging them and securing funding with focus on retention and stewardship
- Strong ability to think creatively about how propositions are pitched to funders
- Experience of crafting compelling appeals/copy
- Thorough knowledge of supporter care and supporter journeys, maximising fundraising potential use of both digital and offline channels
