Purpose of role

As the Program Manager, Media and Communications, you will support the Program Director on the design, development and implementation of communication strategies and plans to advance Humane World for Animals UK’s strategic priorities with regard to campaigns, brand-building and fundraising. You will lead on producing and delivering a content strategy for a broad range of channels to increase audience engagement. The position will support campaigns and fundraising stewardship and give strategic advice regarding social media market insights and trends in the UK digital sphere and emerging channels. This will be vital to achieve successful brand building in the UK market through impactful storytelling, campaign activations, fundraising recruitment and stewardship through compelling content on the earned channels and holistic management of thematic work.

Key areas of responsibility

• Communications strategy and planning:Lead the development and delivery of storytelling and social media strategies to support the UK’s wider communications strategy.Guide public affairs, campaigns, and fundraising colleagues in ideation sessions to develop creative and impactful activations.Provide insights on digital communications trends and opportunities.
• Content creation and storytelling:Produce high-quality digital content, including video, for use on social and digital channels.Turn campaign and policy work into clear, engaging stories.Collaborate with Head Office to integrate global storytelling content.
• Social media:  Plan, schedule and manage day-to-day (and occasional out-of-hours) social media activity, engaging online communities, managing paid social media advertising and delivering campaigns that support advocacy, fundraising and recruitment. Maintain the visual asset library and manage a social media volunteer.
• Influencer and partnership engagement:Identify and recruit influencers and celebrities to extend our reach and support our campaigns
• Administration: Monitor and report on performance using tools like Google Analytics and social monitoring platforms to guide continual improvement.Coordinate activities with colleagues using planning platforms.

Our successful candidate will be confident, creative and positive with a proven track in media and communications roles. A proactive self-starter, you will have demonstrable experience of achieving significant growth and development in regard to audience reach and will take a solution-focused approach to overcoming obstacles. You will have experience of delivering media and communication strategies and plans in a fast-paced environment. You will have ambition and drive for creating positive change for animal welfare; a willingness to constantly learn and develop the most impactful, cost-effective communications for our target audiences; and your work will be solidly underpinned by regular evaluation of progress and impact with a view to further improving strategies.

In our Women’s Respite Service in Camden, you’ll be working with women who have faced abuse, exploitation and homelessness, often after systems have let them down. You’ll be part of a space that feels different. A space where women are listened to, where their experiences are understood, and where they can begin to rebuild a sense of control over their lives.

No two days will look the same. One moment you might be de-escalating a crisis, the next you’re advocating with services, or sitting alongside someone as they begin to make sense of what they’ve been through. You’ll use your understanding of trauma, gender informed practice and the realities of violence against women and girls to shape how support is delivered, making sure every interaction is grounded in safety, dignity and respect.

You’ll hold a small but complex caseload, working intensively with women to build trust, navigate risk and move towards stability and independence. You won’t give up easily. You’ll stay curious, creative and persistent, even when progress feels slow or uncertain.

As a senior in the team, your impact goes further. You’ll lead by example, guiding colleagues through complex situations and helping to embed a way of working that truly recognises what women have experienced and what they need to move forward. You’ll help shape a service that doesn’t just respond to crisis, but creates real, lasting change.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape Public Law Project’s advocacy and influencing work at a critical time. 

Following the launch of our new 2025 – 2030 strategy, the successful candidate will develop and implement a public affairs strategy, working closely with research, casework and communications colleagues to shape policy and stakeholder opinion to advance our strategic objectives.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Multiple Disadvantaged Worker to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children living in Derby City.

The Multiple Disadvantaged outreach Worker will provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse, with additional complex support needs, in accordance with Refuge’s philosophical principles. The post holder will inform the survivor on the options and support available, empowering the survivor to make decisions and achieve their goals to increase their safety, confidence and independence. The role involves working with a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies to advocate on behalf of survivors and promote access to services to meet their needs. The Multiple Disadvantaged Outreach worker will work within Derby City.

The Housing Needs Service is integral in effectively preventing homelessness and supporting service users into permanent and sustainable accommodation. The Housing Needs Service involves working collaboratively with other internal services, including the Resettlement Team, the Employment Service, the Housing Solutions Service and Passage House Assessment Centre, to assess the housing needs of service users and identify appropriate accommodation options.

This service is key part of the No Night Out service (NNO), an innovative model that provides rapid intervention and support for individuals at imminent risk of rough sleeping for the first time. Service users are provided with emergency accommodation, assessed by the Housing Needs Service and supported to view and sign up for Private Rented Sector properties within a target timeframe of 14 days. The Housing Needs Service works closely with the Resettlement Team to achieve successful outcomes within this prevention service.

The Housing Rights Worker will provide high-quality housing advice, advocacy and casework support to individuals and communities experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity or other housing-related problems. You will empower clients by delivering practical solutions and helping them understand and exercise their statutory rights, while contributing to the organisation’s objectives of preventing homelessness and improving access to safe, secure housing.

The Housing Rights Worker is required to:

• Prevent homelessness wherever possible by supporting clients to understand and exercise their legal and statutory housing rights.
• Provide specialist housing advice, advocacy and casework support to individuals experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity or housing-related difficulties.
• Working collaboratively with the Intervention Worker’s caseload of clients, ensuring high-quality client-centred support.
• Represent and advocate on behalf of clients in dealings with landlords, local authorities and other statutory or voluntary agencies.
• Sourcing suitable accommodation options, including shared and private rented accommodation, particularly for single people under 35 affected by Shared Accommodation Rate restrictions.
• Empower individuals and communities by increasing awareness of housing rights, entitlements and available support services.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of housing advice services.

Main Duties

Housing Advice & Casework

• Provide advice on homelessness legislation, housing law, tenancy rights, housing debt and welfare benefits impacting housing affordability.
• Support under 35s to access sustainable housing solutions, addressing affordability barriers and landlord engagement.
• Assisting Housing Need workers with preparing clients for viewings, tenancy sign-ups and moving into accommodation.
• Identify and advocate on the client’s behalf to address concerns relating to property condition, safety and housing standards.
• Represent and advocate on behalf of clients in dealings with landlords
• Negotiate with landlords, housing providers and local authorities to prevent eviction or resolve disputes.

Partnership & Multi- Agency Working

• Build relationships with private landlords and letting agents to increase access to suitable shared housing and private rented accommodation for people under 35.
• Work creatively to overcome barriers faced by young single people in accessing accommodation
• Work proactively with landlords and letting agents to ensure they understand and adhere to their legal responsibilities, including tenancy management, notice procedures, and statutory obligations.
• Encourage early resolution of disputes between landlords and tenants to prevent escalation and homelessness

Community Engagement & Outreach

• Work collaboratively with community groups and partner organisations.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with local authorities, housing associations, supported accommodation providers, and voluntary sector partners.
• Participate in multi-agency meetings and case conferences.
• Empower individuals and communities by increasing awareness of housing rights, entitlements and available support services.
• Deliver workshops, information sessions and outreach activities to raise awareness of housing rights and housing options.​

Role Summary

The Pathways Youth Worker is responsible for supporting young people aged 16–19 who are not in education, employment, or training to move away from harm and progress towards positive, sustainable futures.

Role Information

• Location: The Shrewsbury House Youth & Community Centre (The Shewsy), Liverpool, L5 3PE 
• Salary: £29,000 – £31,000 (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities 

1. Engagement, Intervention & Relationship Building 

• Assess individual needs and risks, then design and deliver tailored interventions, both one-to-one and in groups, to support behaviour change and personal progression. 
• Use trauma-informed, strengths-based approaches to build trust and promote positive change 
• Empower young people to set and take ownership of their own goals and progression plans 
• Coach and guide young people in developing life skills, emotional regulation, and positive decision-making, while constructively challenging and supporting them to leave harmful behaviours behind. 
• Maintain comprehensive case management records, documenting interventions, progress, and outcomes for each young person 

2. Pathways, Partnerships & Opportunity Creation 

• Build strong relationships with local employers, training providers, and community organisations to develop pathways into employment, apprenticeships, and further education 
• Work in partnership with schools, colleges, youth offending services, and other agencies 
• Advocate for young people with employers, colleges, and agencies to overcome barriers to engagement 
• Support young people to sustain placements, courses, or employment through ongoing mentoring 
• Track progression destinations and longer-term outcomes 

3. Work Readiness & Life Skills Development 

• Ensure life skills delivery directly supports young people’s readiness for work, training, and independent adulthood, including. 
• Prepare young people for the world of work by developing their CV writing and application skills, equipping them for interviews, and fostering an understanding of workplace expectations and behaviours. 
• Support access to accreditation and recognised qualifications where appropriate

Person Specification 

Essential 

• Level 3 (or above) qualification in Youth Work or related field 
• Experience working with 16–19-year-olds, particularly those who are NEET or at risk 
• Experience delivering targeted interventions and behaviour change support 
• Strong relationship-building and engagement skills 
• Ability to assess risk and develop intervention plans 
• Experience working in partnership with external agencies 
• Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries 
• Strong organisational and communication skills 
• Experience managing a caseload and evidencing outcomes 
• Ability to maintain high-quality case notes and monitoring data 
• Confidence working with young people experiencing multiple and complex needs

Circles Network is looking for a skilled, compassionate Keyworker to join the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Keyworker Collaborative, supporting children and young adults up to 25 with learning disabilities, autism, or both, who have complex needs and are at risk of admission to specialist hospitals or out‑of‑area placements.

This role exists because the system does not always work as it should. Your job will be to make it work better, by standing alongside young people and their families, coordinating support, challenging poor practice, and ensuring the right help is in place at the right time.

What the role involves

As a Keyworker, you will:

• Work directly with children and young adults, and with those who support them, to reduce risk and improve outcomes
