Brief role description
The young people programme supports young people from Forces families aged 16 to 24, particularly those who are disadvantaged, affected by mobility, at risk of becoming NEET or who have Special Educational Needs (SEN). The programme aims to broaden horizons, raise aspirations and build skills and confidence. It connects young people with meaningful employment opportunities through a combination of one-to-one mentoring and employment support, group workshops, employer events, digital training, work experience and apprenticeships.
As part of a small team, the Education and Skills Liaison will lead on engaging, developing and managing relationships with schools, youth and community groups, military charities, the MOD Education Team, the SCiP Alliance, Families Federations, HIVE and other key stakeholders to advocate for children and young people from Forces families.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for someone with a background in education and/or experience supporting young people to overcome challenges. You will have experience in a customer-focused environment and a track record of delivering to SLAs. You will also be a strong collaborator and team player, with demonstrable influencing skills and coaching or mentoring experience.
You will be a self-starter with confidence to use your own initiative and a passion for supporting the Armed Forces community. You will have an understanding of the challenges faced by forces families in finding appropriate and sustainable employment. In addition, you will have strong operational and administrative skills, knowledge of GDPR and experience using CRMs.
The ideal candidate will have lived experience of the Armed Forces lifestyle, a background in secondary or further education and a NVQ Level 6 in Advice, Information and Guidance.
This position is remote; however, candidates must be based in Hampshire to support local engagement activities and demonstrate knowledge of regional authorities and organisations.
This is a fixed-term position for 12 months. The contract end date will be confirmed at the offer stage.

About the Role
The Restoration Coordinator is responsible for supporting the administrative and operational requirements of managing our programme of environmental restoration work, from initial applications through to monitoring and evaluation. Purpose of the Post:
This role provides the administrative foundation of the organisation, ensuring its day-to-day operations run smoothly, efficiently and reliably. The Administrator is the central point through which systems, information and processes are held and maintained.
The postholder is responsible for coordinating membership administration and core systems. They ensure accurate record-keeping, support financial and governance processes, and coordinate the practical delivery of organisational activity.
Through consistent, attentive administration, this role enables the wider organisation to function effectively. It supports a coherent, responsive service that members can trust and rely on, making an important contribution to the stability, professionalism and effective operation of the Association and, in turn, the wider field of dramatherapy.
Working Hours & Location
This is a part-time role (22.5 hours per week) and is home-based.
The postholder will have flexibility in how their contracted hours are worked across the week, subject to the operational needs of the Association. At least 15 hours will need to be worked during normal business hours to attend team meetings, respond to member enquiries, and fulfil key organisational responsibilities. Working arrangements will be agreed with the line manager and reviewed as required in supervision.
The postholder will also be required to attend the Directors' Meeting, which takes place once a month, either on a Saturday morning or on a weekday evening. Attendance at these meetings forms part of the contracted hours for this role.
There may also be occasional requirements to attend other meetings or events, such as the annual conference or team away days, which may fall outside the postholder's usual working pattern. Where additional hours are worked to attend such events, time off in lieu (TOIL) will be offered within the following two weeks.

Membership Administration & Data Management
Database Management: Maintain organisational records and information, ensuring they are accurate, up to date and complete to the best of the Association's knowledge and strictly comply with UK GDPR and data protection regulations.
Member Pipeline: Process new member applications, renewals, category switches and lapses smoothly.
Onboarding: Support new member onboarding by issuing welcome packs and ensuring seamless access to systems and benefits.

Website & Infrastructure Maintenance: Maintain and update website content via the admin backend (updating committee member profiles, helping members with login issues, and updating job listings). Ensure core plugins and page layouts are regularly updated to their latest versions. Social Media: Manage member applications to the members-only Facebook group, including tracking usernames to remove lapsed members.

Cyber Security Incident Response: Act as an initial administrative responder if a cyber security incident is suspected, following the organisation’s cyber incident response playbook. This includes knowing how to force log out affected users, revoke active sessions where possible, reset passwords, reset or rotate other access credentials where required, preserve relevant records, and escalate promptly to the allocated line manager and board of directors. As part of a small team of Area Giving and Finance Advisers, the role involves offering training, resources, and advice on parish financial management and administration, and advice on various giving methods, including online and contactless options. The role
The post-holder(s) will play a central role in the work of the Public Affairs team, at an exciting time for the British Academy as we seek to extend and deepen our reach and influence with parliamentarians, Government, policymakers and other key stakeholders.
You will own and deliver influencing activities - independently and in collaboration with colleagues - that will build the Academy’s profile and increase awareness of the value and importance of the Social Sciences, Humanities and the Arts (SHAPE) amongst our audience. You will work with Public Affairs colleagues to monitor external developments, horizon-scanning and pursuing opportunities for the Academy to be bold and proactive in engaging stakeholders.
An experienced public affairs professional, you will have a good level of UK political knowledge, including of the Devolved Nations and local and regional structures.
