HOPE worldwide UK is a Christ-centred charity with a mission to empower people to overcome poverty and homelessness through compassionate service. In the UK, we help people who are homeless access and sustain suitable accommodation and deliver holiday clubs for at risk children. Internationally, we partner with locally-led programmes that provide practical support including education, humanitarian aid, vocational training and healthcare. The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to grow support for our work in the UK and internationally. 

You will lead the implementation of our 2026–2028 fundraising strategy, develop compelling supporter journeys and creating inspiring propositions that connect donors with the difference their generosity makes. Working closely with the CEO, Senior Management Team and Fundraising Committee, you will bring focus, energy and professional fundraising expertise to a charity with a loyal supporter base and significant potential for growth. 

Key Details:

Location:  UK (Flexible: Remote or Hybrid if preferred). There will be a few in-person meetings/events in our London office or other specific venues each year, with flexibility to work where convenient (office or home) most of the time. 

Hours: Part-time, 3 days per week (0.6 FTE). Flexibility over how hours are distributed across the week.

Salary:  £37,000 – £43,000 FTE, pro rata (c. £22,200 - £25,800 for 3 days per week), depending on experience 

Start Date:  September (negotiable)

What You will do:

• Lead the delivery of HOPE worldwide UK’s fundraising strategy, with clear plans, priorities, KPIs and income targets.
• Develop a compelling case for support that inspires existing donors, re-engages lapsed supporters and reaches new and younger audiences.
• Design and deliver segmented supporter journeys across individual giving, regular giving, appeals and stewardship activity.
• Support the growth of sustainable income from high-potential streams including trusts and foundations, major donors, legacy giving, challenge events and corporate engagement.
• Work with programme colleagues to capture impact, develop strong donor reports and translate frontline insight into persuasive fundraising propositions.
• Oversee the effective use of the fundraising CRM, improving data quality, segmentation and insight-led decision making.
• Manage, mentor and encourage the Communications & Fundraising Team, creating clarity, focus and momentum.
• Ensure all fundraising activity is legal, ethical and compliant with the Code of Fundraising Practice, data protection requirements and internal policies.

Essential requirements:

• Faith: A faithful follower of Jesus Christ, committed to the vision and values of Hww UK. 

• Experience: Demonstrable success in fundraising, with a strong track record in individual giving and recurring gift growth. 

• Strategy: Experience in building or delivering a successful fundraising strategy and compelling cases for support. 

• Communication: Excellent storytelling skills with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences (faith-based, secular, and younger donors). 

• CRM and Data: Confident user of a fundraising CRM, able to manage data, segment supporters and use insight to inform decisions.

This role will join an ambitious programme developing the capacity of the Libraries Connected public library networks. We want to help them evolve as strategic partnerships able to deliver social impacts at scale and to secure resources and investment from national, regional and sub-regional government. The role is part of a small team of two Regional Managers, supported by an Administrator. 

By developing our existing regional networks into formal, resourced structures we can enable the regions to: 

• Secure investment for the service and for the libraries from regional and devolved / combined authority funds.
• Create unique regional offers to meet specific needs across and within the regional areas.
• Deliver at scale. For example, the Yorkshire & Humber regional network has 15 library services, and 348 library buildings. 
• Create opportunities for cost saving – through joint procurement and shared / collaborative services. 
• Share good practice and experience on a formal and integrated basis. 

We have 9 regional networks in England, covering all library services and ranging in size from 9 to 33 services. Within each region they provide hundreds of library branches, thousands of staff, and serve millions of service users.  They have a long tradition of working together as peer support networks and to deliver activities such as festivals, marketing, and staff training.

The Role

The role

We are looking for an experienced Fundraising and Campaigns Coordinator — with at least five years in a fundraising role within the charity sector — to join our small team in the second half of 2026. This is a hands-on delivery role: you will be the person who owns campaigns end to end, builds the newsletters, schedules the posts, writes the copy and gets things live.

You will work within a clear strategic direction set by the senior team, but you will own everything from there — developing the angle and narrative, writing the copy, submitting the application, building the promotional plan across all channels, and closing it out with donor reporting and thanks. We want someone who takes a steer and runs with it, and who brings genuine creative and fundraising intelligence to how the work gets done.

This is a part-time, flexible consultancy engagement. We work to a variable monthly arrangement — hours flex with the needs of the organisation, averaging 30–40 hours per month, with busier periods during campaigns.

What you will do

Fundraising campaigns

• End-to-end ownership of Big Give and matched fundraising campaigns across all three annual rounds — from developing the angle and narrative through to application, asset creation, public-facing campaign, social content and donor impact follow-up
• Supporting funding applications and proposals with compelling, well-researched copy
• Managing and maintaining content and access across multiple fundraising platforms

Communications and content

What we are looking for

You are an experienced fundraising and campaigns professional who is genuinely energised by getting things done. You understand how donors think, you write well, and you can hold a campaign from first conversation to final thank-you without being chased. You are tools-confident and comfortable with working independently.

Essential

• Solid experience of at least 5 years in a fundraising and/or campaigns role in the charity sector
• Fundraising literacy — you understand what a donor journey is for, how matched fundraising works, and how to write copy that moves people to give
• Strong writing skills — clear, purposeful, on-brand; able to adapt tone across audiences

Stroke Support Worker

We are looking for an empathetic, adaptable individual, experienced in person centred support to work with stroke survivors and their loved ones on the stroke ward in Doncaster Royal Infirmary.

Position: 000029 Stroke Support Worker

Location: Homebased, Doncaster, South Yorkshire. However, travel will be required twice weekly to Doncaster Royal Infirmary as part of this role (and occasional wider travel may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Hours: 21 - 28 hours per week with a minimum of 21 hours. The exact weekly hours (up to 28) will be agreed with the successful candidate

The Role

This work is part of a project (the Integrated Offer), exploring the needs and ongoing connection for people affected by stroke in hospital and beyond.

The role will involve delivering person-centred stroke support in the hospital setting, while working with the Integrated Offer team to test and implement new approaches. The areas we aim to deliver and test are:

· Deliver person centred conversations with people affected by stroke on the acute ward.

· Following an initial conversation, test how people affected by stroke connect with the Stroke Association next, and what they connect to.

· Explore how to increase connection with those who are not present on the ward at the same time as us.

(note- we may test some or all the above)

To support flexible delivery and testing, you'll also develop your skills by providing phone support to people affected by stroke.

The role includes working in Doncaster Royal Infirmary starting with twice weekly visits, for 3 hours per session. These sessions can be any time after 11am.  The length, timing and cadence of the sessions may need to adjust as this is a test and we will be led by what works for the hospital and people affected by stroke.

Occasional overnight stays may be required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Global HR Operations - 

· Maintain a high-quality global HR operations function, including standardized policies where legally appropriate, standardized processes, technology, systems, tools, forms, and guidelines that are accessible, well understood, and consistently utilized across all offices.

· Balance global organizational standards and compliance requirements with the operational, cultural, and legal realities of individual country offices, ensuring an appropriate and practical approach across diverse environments.

Skills, experience & qualifications: 

Essential 

• Minimum of 3 years relevant volunteer management experience either in the work place or attained through a relevant qualification. 

• Intermediate to advanced level of MS word and Excel 

• Ability to communicate both through written and verbal 

• Full UK driving licence as travel will be required for this role 

Desirable 

• A relevant degree or professional qualification in volunteer management 

is not essential but may be advantageous. 

• A working knowledge of CRM and digital Event Management Systems 

• Experience with building and working with high performing teams

The User Researchers play an integral role in delivering Shelter’s Digital Purpose:

Working closely with the digital product teams you will use an iterative and user-centred approach to plan, design and facilitate research activities with users to help teams get a richer understanding of the people that are engaging with Shelter’s digital products and services so that we can design solutions to meet their needs or goals.

Role specifics

We’re looking for someone who can plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive user research that helps shape better digital products and services. You’ll work closely with designers, product managers and stakeholders to turn design challenges into research questions, design and facilitate research activities, and generate actionable insights from qualitative and quantitative data. You’ll champion user-centred design across the organisation, helping teams build confidence in research-led decision-making while promoting good practice in ethics, accessibility and safeguarding. Working collaboratively within agile teams, you’ll help ensure the voices and needs of our users remain at the heart of Shelter’s digital services.

About the team

This role sits in the 7-person Strategic Insight and Evaluation team which sits under in the Digital and Audience Engagement sub directorate, within the Campaigns, Policy and Communications (CPC) department.

The team is a keystone in shaping and delivering the work of Shelter and brings together strategic audience insight and user research and monitoring, evaluation and learning.
