The Salvation Army Community Services Department is seeking to recruit two experienced social or community work professionals to offer targeted professional advice and guidance to local missional settings (various SA centres including churches) to deliver their missional priorities. They will work with local leaders who are seeking to effectively engage with their respective communities, using community-based services as a key platform and discipleship space to connect individuals and the ‘non-churched’ to the Mission of The Salvation Army.
You will be part of a wider team who seek to enable, empower and equip local SA churches and community settings to ‘stand on their own feet’, via peer-to-peer learning /communities of best practice and thereby not be as reliant on National (THQ) resources. You will also spend up to one day a week as a practitioner based in a local SA church or other SA community setting.
This role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian and will be in sympathy with the doctrines of, and supportive of, the purposes and the aims and objectives of The Salvation Army.

Location details: This role has a national remit with expectation that the successful candidate will be able to work across the UKI territory. Job Purpose
BSR events are a key benefit to members and the wider rheumatology community, offering the very latest in science, innovation, research and cases.
Our events team deliver the award-winning Annual Conference in a hybrid format to c2500 delegates, plus our Case-based Conference, as well as a programme of celebratory awards.
This role sits within the Events team which is responsible for delivering BSR’s annual conferences and awards. The team of four includes the Head of Events, Events Manager, Digital Events Manager and the Events Executive, who assists in the planning and delivery of our hybrid and in-person events. You will work on a range of areas including registration, logistics, being the main point of contact for delegates, and liaising with venues and suppliers. This is an exciting role for someone looking to get more exposure to different areas of events and working with multiple stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage the registration process for BSR conferences, including online booking journey, managing CRM/registration systems, end to end customer service and reporting registration data insights.
- Work with the Events Manager on the delivery of conference programmes and networking events.
- Lead on event logistics including awards, abstract poster submissions, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accreditation, accommodation, travel arrangements and speaker expenses.
- Champion BSR’s values by leading on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and accessibility for conferences, working with venues and suppliers to ensure a positive experience for attendees.
- Support the Events Manager and Business Development Manager with sponsor and exhibition deliverables on areas including registration and posters.
- Manage event and registration enquiries, providing excellent customer service.
- Support the Digital Events Manager with online conference integrations and data reporting.
- Input into our event budgets by monitoring progress and providing financial reporting and reconciliation against income and expenditure.
- Work with the Marketing and Communications team to create digital content to engage our audiences.

General
- Be a core member of the events team by attending and inputting into all planning meetings, venue site visits and delivery of events onsite.

Please note: This role will require travel, overnight stays and weekend work, for example at our conferences (6 day stay). As we are a small team you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in cross-departmental projects, lead or contribute to agile sprint working and support wider business needs. We are also in the process of developing our new 5-year fundraising strategy, so you will be instrumental in creating an ambitious new plan to develop a diverse and sustainable mass fundraising portfolio, covering the key areas of donor acquisition, retention, and growth, with a focus on maximising our Challenge and Community events portfolio, and increasing Legacy, In Memory and Regular giving. - Proven experience of applying the principles and techniques of Individual Giving / Direct Marketing within a multichannel, multi-discipline environment to deliver significant returns and supporter satisfaction, especially through supporter recruitment channels.
- Experience of fully integrating a CRM database as a tool in the day-to-day work and running of a charity.

Key Responsibilities:

The Role
To provide efficient, focused and professional customer service and administration support for FareShare Midlands. In addition, this role will be a key member of the regional centre team working closely with the Regional Operations Manager, other departments such as operations, development, fundraising and marketing in order to raise the charity’s profile and attract support. You will work towards, and achieve, best-in-class warehouse & food co-ordination as part of the warehouse and operations team in Fareshare Midlands. As a team you will ensure that food is allocated in a safe, timely and accurate way to optimise the service provided from your depot to our community.

Key Responsibilities
- Contacting and liaising with members as appropriate in relation to food orders and processing using online stock system
- Manage the allocations process to ensure all allocations are completed accurately and timely … working with the Regional Ops manager and Warehouse Manager to ensure sufficient trained resource is available to complete allocation

Every day, the TSA’s small support and information team make a real difference to people affected by the rare genetic condition Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) and their loved ones. In this vital role, you will help to maintain our high support standards at the TSA, including through operating on the TSA Support Line, developing content for a wide range of platforms and needs, and occasionally attending virtual and in-person TSA events.
You'll be part of a flexible, passionate, welcoming and wholly home-based team, who know they improve the world every single day. The role includes (pro-rata) 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays and the working days that fall between Christmas Day and New Year.
On the TSA Support Line, you will provide support and information regarding TSC via telephone, email and webchat. You will offer an informed, non-judgemental and empathetic listening ear to individuals and families at every step of their journey. The type of enquiries we receive are wide ranging, covering matters such as health, social care and education. You will also engage with professionals supporting people with the condition.
You will have a key role in researching, developing, and updating information across our various platforms including (but not limited to) content for our website, social media, support line materials, leaflets, e-newsletter and our community magazine. The primary audience of the materials will be the TSC community. Materials used by NHS clinics and clinicians are also developed by us, which you will have a central part in developing.
You will help to ensure that our internal processes are effective, and the information that we provide to the TSC community is timely, up-to-date, and relevant.
You will attend TSA events (virtually and in-person) to market the TSA Support Line services, participate in sessions and assist in support-related issues.
We are a small but very impactful charity, where roles are wide-reaching. Although this role is focused on support and information services, the successful candidate should also expect to get involved with projects from other TSA teams including communications, research and fundraising.
Responsibilities
1. TSA Support Line
1.1 Through the TSA Support Line, you will provide information and support to individuals living with TSC, their families and professionals by telephone, email and webchat, ensuring that:
- All enquiries received through the TSA Support Line receive a response based on high quality, up-to-date and evidence-based information.
- You log, triage and respond to enquiries received by telephone, email, post and webchat in line with agreed timelines, policies and procedures.
- You direct non-support related enquiries to appropriate TSA staff, taking messages where necessary.
- You are sensitive and responsive to the needs of the individuals living with TSC, family members and health, social care and education professionals using the TSA Support Line.
- You provide time-limited, structured support through formal case management processes for a small number of individuals and families who are most vulnerable and who need regular help and support. This includes individuals with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs, and families who face a wide range of challenges accessing health, social care and education services for their loved ones.
- You collect and accurately record data enabling the TSA to monitor and evaluate the performance of the TSA Support Line, including usage data (such as number and length of calls), qualitative information (feedback from service users) and data collected in conversation (such as logging broad categories of issues that service users are facing).
- You support individuals and families who wish to apply for financial support from the TSA Support Fund, helping them to complete the relevant application forms, ensuring that they supply documentary evidence, and logging their application appropriately for audit and compliance.
- Your support demonstrates best practice and complies with the law on safeguarding (making sure we are working appropriately with vulnerable adults and children) and data protection (making sure that we are handling all sensitive data appropriately).
- You proactively engage with regular reflective practice and supervision to safeguard your own health and wellbeing and support individual and team learning. This will include individual supervision through regular 1-2-1s with your line manager and team supervision through weekly calls for all those working on the support line.
- You will contribute your expert insight into the challenges and issues that the TSC community are facing to help colleagues across the organisation develop information materials, online resources and event agendas for communications channels including the TSA’s community magazine ('Scan'), our website, social media and events.
- You will ensure that internal processes for recording TSA Support Line enquiries, and signposting information on the support line, are maintained to a high standard and kept up to date.
1.2 You will play a key role in the TSA’s safeguarding as part of your work on the TSA Support Line and in supporting other members of staff with any questions that they have.
1.3 You will ensure confidentiality in the provision of the TSA Support Line, managing conversations and relationships tactfully and diplomatically with members of our small community who may also interact regularly with the charity at face-to-face and virtual events and through our social media channels.
1.4 You will work closely with colleagues from across the TSA to ensure that our support and information services are joined-up with and informed by other services offered by the TSA more broadly across our website, social media channels, Scan and face-to-face and virtual events.
1.5 You will help to ensure that the TSA Support Line demonstrates best practice in the provision of support and information. You will work with the Joint Chief Executive and Support and Information Manager to develop proposals to develop and market the service that are joined-up with the support provided across our website, social media channels, Scan and face-to-face and virtual events.
2 Support, information and signposting
2.1 Ensure that high quality, up-to-date and evidence-based information is available to individuals and families living with TSC, and the professionals that support them. Regularly review, draft and develop new materials to support people affected by the condition.
2.2 Work with the Joint Chief Executive and Support and Information Manager to develop appropriate and consistent information to signpost TSA Support Line service users to external partner organisations that can provide specialist support for specific aspects of TSC (such as autism or mental health issues) and living with TSC (such as finding a job or facing bereavement).
2.3 Initiate and maintain regular contact with NHS TSC clinics across the UK to encourage greater communication and support between the TSA and TSC clinics. This could include encouraging clinics to join the NHS TSC Rare Disease Collaborative Network (RDCN), liaising with TSA Medical Advisers about medical support line enquiries, or working with clinics to better understand how the TSA can best help them.
2.4 Work closely with the rest of the TSA including communications, research and fundraising, to demonstrate current knowledge of the work of the organisation and developments in TSC.
2.5 Keep up to date with external events and news and draft relevant content for social media, physical media, e-news and the community magazine, Scan, to support and inform the TSC community.
2 TSA events
2.1 Attend TSA face-to-face and virtual events each year to market the TSA Support Line to people living with TSC, their families and professionals (up to approximately seven face-to-face events per year). General events assistance for the event on the day of face-to-face events will also be expected (for example, this could include time on the reception desk or directing attendees between sessions). Face-to-face events could include Outlook (for adults living with TSC), Big Day (our annual meeting for everyone in the TSC community), Family Fun Days (for younger families), TSA Togethers (regional events) and events for NHS TSC clinicians. Time off in lieu will be given for evening and weekend events, or events outside of your usual working days.
2.2 Help to generate ideas for sessions at TSA events by identifying any trends in information and support needs through the TSA Support Line.
4 Supporting health, social care and education professionals
4.1 Develop and maintain training and education materials to help health, social care and education professionals to better understand the impact of TSC.
4.2 Act as a point of contact for professionals who contact the TSA, working with colleagues to build credibility and strong working relationships with them.
Other requirements of the post
The post holder must be prepared to work flexibly to meet the needs of the organisation. This will entail occasional evening and weekend work. Regular travel within the UK will be needed for team meetings, TSA events and training provision. This would normally require access to a car (mileage will be paid) or travel by public transport (tickets will be paid).
The post holder will be expected to have adequate homeworking facilities to allow them to fulfil the role to the best of their abilities.

What the job involves
Join our Customer Engagement and Experience team as our Data Imports Manager, where every day you’ll be helping to make sure our supporters’ donations and personal details are handled with care and accuracy.
You’ll manage the Data Import Team, who process around £30 million in donations each year and safely manage details for about 180,000 new supporters. It’s a role right at the heart of our operations, keeping our systems running smoothly and ensuring supporter data is looked after properly.
Day to day, you’ll manage the flow of financial and personal data into our CRM, whether it’s from third-party suppliers or our website. You’ll own the use of our automation tools to ensure data imports are efficient and accurate.
You’ll support your team, respond to data queries, and as the product owner of our bespoke ETL tool work closely with developers, designers and data teams to deliver high quality solutions. There’s plenty of scope to spot ways to improve how we work, reducing manual processes and making things quicker and smarter without compromising quality.
Alongside this, you’ll produce regular reports to keep things on track, such as weekly/monthly reconciliation reports for Finance, and oversee tasks such as creating our Gift Aid claim. You’ll also play a key part in developing and monitoring KPIs, making sure we’re hitting our goals and delivering a reliable, accurate service.

At the Guide Dogs our Access Assistants help our employees to live the life they choose by working as a driver and support worker to enable the person supported to carry out their duties efficiently and effectively. An Access Assistant does not fulfil the role for the individual but enables the person supported to carry out their role by supporting tasks to enable them to be successful in their role.
This role will include driving daily, working closely with the Habilitation Specialist. About the role
Are you passionate about supporting people who are living with a serious rare condition? Do you get a kick out of someone else’s joy as they reach their fundraising target? Are you a meticulously organised person who loves sending thoughtful packages through the post?
We are looking for a Community Support Administrator to enhance our offer to people diagnosed with aplastic anaemia, and their friends and families . You’ll help our successful fundraising and support teams to do more.
Reporting to our Community Fundraising and Events Manager
We are passionate about creating opportunities for our community to support us in ways that create joy in their own lives and help them feel empowered in the face of serious illness. Our fundraising activities are designed to help tackle the isolation and other difficulties that are faced by those living with a rare and serious condition. You’ll help us make sure that fundraising for The AAT is a life-affirming and joyful experience.
Our small team are fully remote across the country. You’ll be based on your own in our small office/post room in Birmingham with regular face-to-face meetings with your manager (who lives locally). You’ll keep in touch with the rest of the team via Microsoft Teams.
The first line of support
As a small charity representing an ultra rare condition, the people we support and the people who support us through fundraising are often one and the same.
You’ll sit within the fundraising team, but your role spans the organisation, and you’ll also deliver essential administration support for our Support Team.
The Aplastic Anaemia Trust is the only charity who publish information about aplastic anaemia for patients and families. You will post booklets to patients and to hospitals, heading to the post office twice a week to fulfil orders. You’ll also support our volunteer moderators to administer the Patient Support Facebook Group.
This is a varied and interesting role which gives you the opportunity to see your impact first-hand as you’ll be interacting directly with people whose lives are affected by aplastic anaemia. You will support our community with understanding and empathy.
As a Community Support Administrator, you will...

Manage our online shop, fulfilling orders promptly. Track inventory and re-order items that are running low

Send thank you messages and cards to supporters

Update our CRM and keep up to date and accurate data on our community

Create and schedule social media posts and event listings on our website.

Answer general emails, social media messages, and other communications and/or ensure they are answered by the right person from our team

Provide support and guidance to our volunteers including onboarding and supervision

Pitch in with occasional event admin and organising

Twice a year attend our Staff Conference for (2-3 weekdays with overnight stay) to work directly with the full team
For example, a typical week could include:

Sending out patient information booklets to hospitals who order it via our website

Finding out the t-shirt sizes of everyone on our Great North Run team and posting t-shirts out to them

Producing a report from our CRM system, and sending an email to everyone on it to invite them to an event

Counting up all our Christmas cards and ordering more from a printers website

Creating a thoughtful, personal package for a child who is in hospital, and taking it to the post office.

Booking meeting rooms and hotel rooms for an upcoming Staff Conference

You are brave and willing to throw yourself into new situations. You wouldn’t hesitate to pick up the phone to call a donor you don't know for a chat, or jump on a video call to ask your manager to talk you through something again to make sure you get it right.

You are highly digitally literate – you can find your way around a website, CRM or a shared spreadsheet and are quick to learn new unfamiliar software. You’ll be comfortable scheduling social media posts, using online design templates to create these, joining digital meetings and using digital office tools.

You will understand the joy of beautiful post! You’ll package and send thoughtful, happy packages that put a smile on people's faces when they are having a tough time.

You are an independent worker! You’ll be in the office solo most of the time, so you need to be self-motivated, comfortable reaching out when you have questions, and happy in a quiet room (with a big window and leafy view!)

Aplastic anaemia is a rare and life-threatening condition caused by the bone marrow not functioning properly.
In people with aplastic anaemia, the bone marrow fails to produce enough of all three types of blood cells – red, white and platelets.
Aplastic anaemia treatment is very similar to the treatment someone might have for leukaemia - but because it's so rare, families often don't have access to the same information and support.
The Aplastic Anaemia Trust is the only charity in the UK dedicated to supporting people affected by aplastic anaemia and funding research into this rare form of bone marrow failure.
We fund research to improve treatment, provide expert information, and work tirelessly, at grassroots level, to support every aplastic anaemia patient and their loved ones.
