Building on SEL Mind’s comprehensive Mindful Mums and Being Dad (MMBD) programmes, we are seeking to appoint a Perinatal Counsellor to provide one-to-one talking therapy to expectant and new parents in Lewisham.
The focus will be reducing the anxiety of expectant parents during pregnancy and in the immediate postnatal period. The service will offer structured counselling sessions to parents, tailored to individual needs, cultural context and preferences.
The Counsellor will draw upon the wealth of experience within the wider MMBD team and strong links with local professional networks including Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team, Maternity Steering Group and Lewisham Perinatal Mental Health and Parent-Infant Relationship Network.
You will have experience of working with clients within the perinatal period as a counsellor post qualification, including conducting clinical assessments and risk assessments. You will be confident in managing a caseload, regularly reviewing and monitoring clients and working with people from diverse communities. Successful candidates must provide evidence of their registration with a professional counselling body e.g. BACP.
The expectations of the role are to support a minimum of 20 clients within the first year. Client work will be delivered within confidential spaces in Family Hubs across Lewisham Borough. Ideally client work will be delivered in one full day, supporting an average of 5 clients. The role holder will be required to work on Tuesday mornings in order to attend team meetings and training.
Successful applicants will be expected to undergo an Enhanced Level Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Key Responsibilities
To work closely with the Evidence & Advocacy Manager (EAM) to develop and implement a series of impactful evidence and research projects that support our advocacy messaging, as well as internal and external learning for inclusive programmes and advisory work. These projects will build on established workstreams alongside developing new ones to maintain and extend CBM UK’s evidence base.
Disability Evidence, Policy Research and Learning
With EAM support the ongoing CBM UK Research and Evidence workstream, through:
- Translating evidence from our programming countries and projects to produce and contribute to a range of resources to influence FCDO and other stakeholders. Tasks to include managing and maintaining established outputs, such as the CBM UK Project Evidence Briefs and Disability Voices paper series, generating new thematic papers, as well as policy and position papers to enhance effective advocacy submissions, briefing notes, blogs and other messaging on key disability rights issues.
- Working collaboratively within CBM UK and across CBM Global to help develop and to deliver new policy research, drawing on mixed methods and data sources including national and international databases, using qualitative approaches including participatory or citizen generated data, and new empirical work.
- Supporting Programme staff to improve impact and learning practice in CBM UK funded projects, provide technical support for the implementation of programme related research and data collection, including MEAL.
- Providing technical research support into the development of proposals for new grant funded projects, and, where successful, support the management of subsequent research projects.
- Keeping abreast of new research and publications on key themes and priority concerns within the CBM UK Advocacy and Influencing Strategy, taking into consideration sector trends and developments, and ensure this is disseminated to relevant staff within the CBM UK Team.
- Keeping watch on UK policy environment and conducting research and analysis to support CBM UK advocacy messaging on disability and human rights.
Dissemination and Communications
- Maintaining and developing internal knowledge management systems for research and information on disability inclusion and rights, and related areas, to be used by Advocacy, Programmes and Fundraising & Communications teams.
- Ensuring communication plans are developed with CBM UK and Global Federation colleagues for CBM UK evidence outputs.
- Maintaining the Advocacy and Influencing pages of the CBM UK website ensuring rights-based communication and focus to support CBM UK and Global campaigns.
- Liaison with Fundraising & Communications colleagues to amplify media stories, case studies and compelling evidence from country programming for advocacy purposes.
- Participation in and building good relationships with UK-based disability and development networks, including relevant research networks and membership of the BOND Disability and Development Group.
- Supporting the professional publication and printing of CBM UK outputs, for dissemination at advocacy engagements and public events.
Other
- Work with other CBM UK teams to maximise cross fertilisation opportunities and integrated working.
- Help develop a culture of enthusiasm and success, reflecting the ambitions of CBM. Play an active role across CBM, promoting positive working and innovation. Ensure that the values of CBM UK are understood by external partners and always reflected in communications.
- Identify opportunities to initiate and contribute to new initiatives and events, both within CBM UK and externally.
- Provide briefings and analysis for the CEO and other Leadership Team members where appropriate.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To develop, implement and evaluate the Banter Project youth service in partnership with adopted young people in Northern Ireland. These young people range in age from 14-25 years and live throughout Northern Ireland. The role will primarily work with the project participants, but has additional relationships with community organisations, educational establishments and employers to ensure that all project goals and outcomes are efficiently and effectively met.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To lead the development and delivery of all elements of the Banter Project adopted young people’s service within Northern Ireland in a fun, interactive, interesting and an ability appropriate manner.
- To support the project participants to play an active role in the design and implementation of a programme of monthly activities for adopted young people. Sustaining and developing a monthly social hub, supporting the development of basic life-skills, and preparation for opportunities in further education, training, employment.

Purpose of Post: The post holder will lead on the delivery of our volunteer programme. You will be responsible for the recruitment of new volunteers and the support of existing volunteers and volunteer contacts to maintain a positive volunteer experience.

This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our volunteer activities, enabling us to support more people in our community.
This post holder will work towards achieving a Hear Us Volunteer Accreditation as part of ensuring good practice for our staff and volunteers, and developing the future creative direction of our volunteering offer.
Given the collaborative and engagement-focused nature of this role, and its direct delivery responsibilities, regular face-to-face working is required, with the post-holder based primarily in the office and attending events and community activities as needed.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Develop and support different techniques to attract lived experience volunteers to Hear Us to build a strong and diverse volunteer base
· Develop and produce volunteer recruitment and information material for our public events, website, and social media
· Monitor and screen incoming volunteer applications and make first contact with applicants
· Liaise with Hear Us managers to schedule, plan, and organise in-person and online volunteer recruitment drives and/or information days

Volunteer Management

Volunteer Training
· Schedule, plan, and organise group training days for volunteers to access and complete mandatory training
· To support volunteers to access and complete mandatory training, (including safeguarding, Prevent and information governance) and to encourage attending further training, workshops or other opportunities that may support in their own development.
· To provide bespoke Hear Us training to new volunteers as part of the induction process, and provide refresher and ongoing training for existing volunteers, updating and/or redesigning the training manuals where necessary.
· In collaboration with colleagues, to develop the Hear Us Academy (accredited peer support training modules)
Volunteer Database Management
· Manage the volunteer database by maintaining an accurate record of Hear Us volunteers, including but not limited to activity status, address, and communication preferences on Hear Us database(s).
· Ensure all recruitment checks are completed and accurate volunteer records are held in compliance with the Data Protection Act and GDPR.
Linkwork Project Support
· Act as a deputy for the Peer Support Coordinator where required, in managing a small, vibrant team of peer support volunteer Linkworkers (all of who are current or former mental health service users).
· Assist with Linkworking Project support, such as supporting volunteers in signing up for the SLaM Involvement Register, arranging an induction with Hear Us and introducing peer support Linkworkers to wards and services.
· In the absence of the Peer Support Coordinator, organise and manage the peer support Linkworking rota, finding cover where necessary, ensuring as few sessions are cancelled as possible.
· In the absence of the Peer Support Coordinator, maintain good relations with the SLaM Involvement Register, and submit peer support Linkworkers’ timesheets as required.
· In the absence of the Peer Support Coordinator, ensure the ongoing delivery of Linkworking Sessions
· Help monitor the peer support Linkworking Project, evaluating its effectiveness on improving services and gathering feedback from service users, Linkworkers, and SLaM staff.
· Gather and provide peer support Linkworkers with signposting material and information that can be shared with service users.
Stakeholder Management
· Work in partnership with the Peer Support Coordinator, Engagement and Campaigns Manager, Welfare Rights Manager, Events Coordinator, Deputy CEO, CEO, trustees, and other staff members to achieve the charity's aims and ensure stability and longevity for Hear Us and its members.
· Represent Hear Us on appropriate external committees, networks and other bodies, with other voluntary, statutory and private sector agencies.
· Work on volunteer incentives, recognition and reward schemes across the year.
Other Duties
· Attend supervision and identify your own training and support needs with your supervisor.
· Develop and maintain a healthy working practice for yourself and the volunteers (including peer support Linkworkers) by having clear personal and professional boundaries.

As a member of the curatorial team, you will be responsible for researching, understanding and communicating the Collections and their histories to connect visitors, wider audiences and communities to Waddesdon. You will participate in an ambitious and inclusive permanent display and exhibitions programme, and will work closely with the Senior Curator, Senior Collections Manager and other colleagues to plan and deliver the strategy for care, access and engagement for the Collections. You will contribute to the efficient running of the Collections Department, creating a sense of common purpose, encouraging innovative thinking and best practice and working within the line management structure to support junior and senior colleagues and the day-to-day running of the department.
You will participate in the wider strategy for Waddesdon and the RF as a whole and the representation of the Collections within it so that learning and skills are valued and Waddesdon’s curatorial work is recognized as an exemplar of excellence both nationally and internationally. You will work with a wide range of other departments and with external stakeholders and advisors and require good people and communication skills.
Key responsbilities include but not limited to:
- Become familiar with the whole Collection and develop research interests in specific areas which complement the existing curatorial skill set. Aspects of the Collection which would benefit from particular focus include but are not limited to paintings (Dutch 17C paintings in particular), textiles, photographs, prints and drawings, books and sculpture)
- Undertake research as directed and lecture and publish on the history of Waddesdon and its collections and your personal research interests
- Participate in the planning and delivery of exhibitions, projects and permanent displays, leading on these as appropriate
- Help to develop, manage and deliver interpretation about the Collection in various forms (print and digital) and work with the curatorial and visitor services team to ensure that it is engaging and inclusive to a wide range of audiences
- Lead and participate in events and activities arranged by the Department and visits by groups and individuals to Waddesdon
- Work closely with the Education and Learning teams on the preparation of content for teaching and activities and with the Public Events teams on curatorial content as appropriate, for example for the Christmas displays
- Manage and undertake cataloguing projects on the Collections data base, working with the Collections Management and Archive and Records teams, including checking for duplicate records and for missing or inaccurate data
You will be a great fit if:
You have a relevant Undergraduate degree and 2-3 years’ experience in a museum, gallery, or historic house. You enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues, volunteers, researchers, and the public, with the ability to help with exhibitions, projects, and permanent displays.
You’ll become familiar with the Collection as a whole and develop research interests in specific areas. It is therefore important that your research and communication skills are well-developed so you’re able to lecture and publish on Waddesdon’s history.

The role

- Maintain Carers Trust Heart of England (CTHoE) Young Carers Transition Pathway (tools, timelines, checklists, templates); ensure alignment with statutory guidance and commissioning requirements; champion co-production and inclusive practice.
- Run a blended model of weekly venue-based groups, the Drop-In Hub, structured one-to-one (1:1) sessions, and online options, tailored by age and stage (including early preparation for children aged 5–10 and post-16 transition content).
- Plan, deliver and cover groups across our area of operation to maintain continuity and meet agreed access and touch-point standards; provide contingency cover to avoid session gaps.
- Co-work with Assessment Officers so Transition Pathway prompts are built into statutory assessments and scheduled 6 and 12-month reviews; update prompts, templates and Customer/Client Relationship Management (CRM) fields as needed.
- Model best practice in assessment, planning, reviews and safe closure; work in a trauma-informed, strengths-based way; escalate risks promptly via safeguarding procedures.

- Support the accounting for the GPA’s non-current assets including maintaining the Non-Current Asset Register
