Key Responsibilities
- Lead The Difference's qualitative research and insight function, running research workstreams tied to annual DSP thematic priorities and emerging strands on MAT inclusion and LA working
- Design and deliver qualitative research with schools, MATs and local authorities interviews, focus groups, school visits and thematic analysis translating findings into evidence and policy recommendations
- Lead the Harmful and Abusive Behaviours research workstream, convening a sector council, producing briefing material and managing the route from convening to publication
- Produce timely, citable evidence for policy influence including drafting briefings, consultation responses and evidence submissions on fast turnaround
- Project manage publication cycles from scoping through to launch, working with coalition and media partners to maximise reach and tracking policy traction post-launch
- Brief, manage and integrate the outputs of external research partners where commissioned (e.g. FFT Datalab, Pro Bono Economics)
- Capture and develop case studies from DSP schools and the wider Difference network

The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Breathe London Portfolio Manager to join their team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution.
The Portfolio Manager leads the scoping, management, delivery and monitoring and tracking progress of all Breathe London projects, working closely with the Greater London Authority, Bloomberg Philanthropies and other key stakeholders, as well as ensuring lessons learnt are identified and shared across the wider Breathe Cities programme. The role will also support wider CAF work and grants as and when required.
What We’re Looking For

IPNEd is hosted by Results UK. The line manager for this role will be IPNEd’s Senior Policy & Advocacy Adviser.
1. Starting date
The position is available immediately, and is offered as an initial 12-month contract with the intention of being extended if funding permits.
2. Salary
This role is graded at Results Professional Level Two with a salary of £32,785 per annum.
3. Hours of work
This is a full time role 35 hours a week. These hours will be worked as agreed with the line manager, but some flexibility may be required to meet the needs of the job. There is no paid overtime, but Results UK offers a flexitime system for all staff.
4. Holidays
25 days per year plus bank holidays. Holidays increase by one day per year of service to a maximum of 30 days. Holidays are earned in arrears.
5. Notice Period and Probationary Period
This role has a one-month notice period. The employee will have a probationary period of three months, during which time the notice period is one week.

How the application process will work
We want to see you at your best to understand your strengths and the contribution you could make at Full Fact with strong support, including for your learning and development. We also want to make sure that we use your time well during this process and don’t ask for more from you than we need to. We will make any reasonable adjustments we need to make to this process to help ensure you can perform at your best.
The interview panel will include Jon Chittenden, Mark Frankel and a member of our technical team.
The process starts off with an anonymised covering letter and CV. This will be read by at least two people to produce a shortlist for interview.
The first round interviews will be a phone (not video) interview, lasting no more than half an hour, at a time that’s convenient for you. We will record it so at least two people can review each interview to decide who we invite back for the second round. The recordings will be deleted at the end of the process.
The second interview will be with the full panel by video and last no more than an hour. We’ll tell you everything you need to know to prepare, including anything we’d recommend reading in advance.
