The festive season is officially upon us. Trees are up, shop windows are dressed and the city streets are sparkling with an endless parade of twinkling lights. You can practically feel the cheer sweeping through the streets as the sounds of Christmas hum through the walls of every shop, restaurant and pub across the UK – and we’re savouring every second of it.
There’s a lot to love about the holiday season. It’s a time for food, fun, friends and family. But even more than that, it’s a time to reflect on all the good in our lives and reach out to help others who aren’t as fortunate as we are.
Getting into the spirit of giving back
Finding the perfect presents for your friends and family is a noble and worthy cause, but there’s more you can be doing to get involved in the spirit of giving. We want to ignite that spark of generosity in you this holiday season, which is why we’re issuing our 2018 #ElfishNotSelfish Christmas Challenge.
From the start of December up until Christmas, we’ll be setting tasks that inspire you to go out there and perform a small act of kindness. The costs may be little, but the impact will surely resonate. And we want to know about all the good you’re doing! Make sure to share your experiences on social, using the hashtag #ElfishNotSelfish to show the community how you’re getting involved and inspiring others to take action.
At the end of each week, we’ll choose one winner from the participants of that week’s challenges to receive a price in the form of a £100 donation to a charity of their choice, along with a package of Christmas goodies.
