We’ve all heard the age-old mantra, ‘mother knows best’; a phrase that has been proven time and time again when we’ve needed a bit of motherly advice. From scraped knees to uni blues, first jobs to first homes, we rely on the guidance and support of the woman who’s spent every day building us up. So how do we say thank you to women across the UK that have sacrificed so much to raise their families?
Picking the perfect gift for Mum can be stressful, but what if you could help shoppers find the right way to say thank you this Mother’s Day? On Saturday 23rd March, St Pancras International, in partnership with Women’s Aid, will be providing Mums in Residence to help visitors peruse shops and find the right Mother’s Day gift – and who better to pick a gift for Mum than another mum? In return, users will be asked to offer a donation to Women’s Aid, and St Pancras will provide a donation for every mum recruited. Sounds great, right? Let’s find out how you can get involved.
Calling all mums
Are you a master gift giver? Do you know the sorts of presents that would really mean something to a busy mum? St Pancras International is looking for gift savvy mums to help guide people in the right direction.
As a Mum in Residence, you’ll be helping Londoners, commuters and national/international travellers find the ideal gift ahead of Mother’s Day. You’ll be required the navigate the station, direct shoppers toward the best gifts and encourage donations to Women’s Aid.
What you’ll bring the role:
An eye for the perfect gift
An understanding of the pressures of last-minute panic buying
Not only will you be helping panicked shoppers, but you’ll be helping the station raise vital funds for Women’s Aid, a grassroots federation working together to provide life-saving services and build a safer future for women and children.
In order to say thanks for donating your time, St Pancras will be offering every mum who helps out a £20 gift card and lunch/refreshments. On top of all that, you’ll be provided with some snazzy Mums in Residence gear for the day.
